𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 || 𝗣𝗥𝗖 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗛𝗦 𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗜 💟

The Philippine Red Cross Abra Chapter Training and Assessment Center proudly welcomed the first batch of trainees for the Barangay Health Services NC II program, marking another milestone in our commitment to developing competent community-based healthcare providers.

To formally commence the training, the TESDA Abra Provincial Office conducted the Training Induction Program (TIP) for our training scholars, facilitated by Ms. Emilyn Sencio. The orientation introduced the trainees to the goals of the scholarship, training standards, and the competencies they are expected to achieve throughout the program. The training proper is being led by our Chapter Administrator and Trainer, Ms. Jennifer T. Bernal, who will guide the scholars in acquiring the knowledge and practical skills needed to serve their respective communities.

The Barangay Health Services NC II program equips participants with essential competencies in primary healthcare, health promotion, disease prevention, community health education, and basic patient care. By strengthening the capacity of community health workers and aspiring healthcare providers, this program contributes to healthier, more resilient communities and enhances the delivery of basic health services at the barangay level.

We encourage aspiring healthcare workers, community volunteers, and individuals who are passionate about serving their communities to enroll in this valuable training program and become part of the growing network of competent health service providers.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for continuously creating opportunities through scholarship programs and for expanding the training offerings of the Philippine Red Cross Abra Chapter Training and Assessment Center. National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) is observed every July pursuant to Republic Act No. 10121 and NDRRMC Memorandum No. 110, s. 2026. This annual observance promotes disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and a culture of safety among Filipino communities. The 2026 theme highlights the importance of proactive, science-based, and community-driven actions to strengthen resilience against disasters and the impacts of climate change.

In support of this national campaign, and guided by the Philippine Red Cross Road to Resilience Framework, the Philippine Red Cross, in partnership with national government agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), and various stakeholders, remains committed to fostering long-term community stewardship and helping build a greener, safer, and more resilient Philippines.

The Philippine Red Cross Abra Chapter Training and Assessment Center has successfully concluded its TVI Compliance Audit covering all major programs. We are pleased to share that our Chapter is now officially compliant, so we can continue delivering Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs.

We remain accredited to offer our four certified courses:
• Emergency Medical Services NC II
• Emergency Medical Services NC III
• Barangay Health Services NC II
• Barangay Infectious Disease Management Services Level II

This milestone reflects our strong commitment to delivering high-quality training and assessment, ensuring our learners receive nationally and internationally credible certifications. Through these programs, we aim to support career progression, upskilling, and professional growth of our trainees, preparing them to become competent and globally competitive responders and health service providers.

We will continue to uphold excellence in training as we serve and develop future life-savers in Abra and beyond.
