SDO Abra Ignites Student Service, Passes Torch to New Set of Leaders
In a bold move to sustain student service, the Schools Division Office of Abra officially welcomed its new set of student leaders from four major student organizations during the Online Turn-Over Ceremony on August 7, 2026.
The event marked the formal transition of leadership from the SY 2025-2026 outgoing officers to the SY 2026-2027 incoming officers of SELG, SSLG, YES-O, and BKD under the Learner Government Programs of Youth Formation.
The program was attended by the incoming Division Federation leaders, together with the outgoing officers, their teacher-advisers, and head teachers.The ceremony opened with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem that was conducted through AVP, then followed by an Invocation led by Jhane Rhuvie Tugadi, former DFSSLG officer of SDO Abra.
Sir Ronilo Garcia, Education Program Supervisor โ SGOD, delivered the Welcome Message, welcoming all participants to the ceremony and expressed his appreciation for the dedication of both the outgoing and incoming student leaders.
This was followed by the Statement of Purpose delivered by Ms. Edlaine B. Castillo, Youth Formation Coordinator of Abra.A message of support was given by Ms. Jasmine P. Bringas, Principal of Abra High School, represented by Ms. Josephine Tolentino, School Coordinator.
Adding inspiration to the event, Cherub Mica Navarro, former DFSSLG President of Abra, highlighted the impact of student government leaders and emphasized the importance of continuing true service for the entire student body province-wide.
One of the highlights was the Oath-Taking of Venice Batarina of Abra High School, who formally accepted her role as the new DFSSLG President of Abra. In her pledge, she committed to uphold the duties and responsibilities of a federation leader.
The program concluded with the recognition of both outgoing and incoming student leaders for their dedication, leadership, persistence, and was commended for their commitment to keep the spirit of service alive and to extend it to the whole student body.
