๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ DSNA Election of Officers | S.Y. 2026โ€“2027

Democracy prevailed as the Divinian Student Nurses Association (DSNA) successfully conducted its Election of Officers for S.Y. 2026โ€“2027. This year's election featured two dedicated party lists, each presenting their vision for the future of the organization:

๐Ÿ’š CARE Partylist, headed by Presidential Aspirant Nafuna Alcartado (BSN-4B)

๐Ÿค UNITE Partylist, headed by Presidential Aspirant Prinze Jethro Dupisen (BSN-4A)

Despite the province-wide power interruption and the challenges brought by the tropical depression, Divinian Student Nurses remained steadfast and exercised their right to vote. Their participation reflected resilience, responsibility, and a shared commitment to choosing leaders who will serve the student body with integrity and excellence.

Every vote cast became a testament to the unwavering spirit of the Divinian Nursing communityโ€”proving that no obstacle can stop students from making their voices heard.

๐Ÿฉบ ๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | Clinical Orientation & Departmental General Assembly 2026

The Department of Nursing successfully conducted its Clinical Orientation and Departmental General Assembly on July 17, 2026, at the DWCB Gymnasium, marking the official start of another exciting and meaningful clinical year for every Divinian Student Nurse.

The program began with the checking of attendance, followed by the opening prayer and the Philippine National Anthem. Dean Luzviminda B. Bona, RN, RM, MAN warmly welcomed the students and introduced the nursing faculty, while Fr. Edgar L. Caunod, SVD, PhD, College President, delivered an inspiring message, encouraging future nurses to pursue excellence with integrity, compassion, and a genuine heart for service.

The orientation featured comprehensive discussions led by the nursing faculty on: โ€ข Clinical guidelines, requirements, and hospital conduct โ€ข Nursing Arts Laboratory policies โ€ข Retention policy and academic standards โ€ข Attendance, tardiness, absences, and make-up duties โ€ข Managing accidents and errors in the clinical area โ€ข Performance evaluation โ€ข Updated case study format โ€ข Proper presentation of nursing uniforms

The event concluded with an Open Forum, allowing students to clarify concerns and gain a deeper understanding of expectations before entering the clinical setting, followed by the updates for the New Case Study and Family Case Study Format presented by Mr. Hussein T. Siganay, RN,RM,MAN,LPT and Mr. Loui Mark A. Benoza, RN,LPT,MAN.

As Divinian Student Nurses prepare to wear the uniform with pride, may this orientation serve as a reminder that competence is built through preparation, professionalism, discipline, and compassionate service.

Preparedness is not just a drillโ€”it's a life-saving habit. Stay ready, stay safe. ๐Ÿšจ

Today, we participated in an earthquake drill to strengthen our preparedness and response during emergencies. We practiced the proper safety procedures, including "Duck, Cover, and Hold" and orderly evacuation to designated safe areas. This activity reminded us that staying calm and following instructions can help save lives during disasters. Every drill is an opportunity to improve our readiness and protect one another. Together, let us continue building a culture of safety, awareness, and resilience.
