Before the Christmas holiday, the University of Abra Laboratory High School (UA LHS) held its long-awaited Christmas Programs for Grades 7 to 10 on December 17, 2025. Each grade level followed a specific clothing themeโ€”making the entire campus bright and colorful with new styles and holiday cheer.

The celebration was filled with fun activities and games that kept students laughing and cheering throughout the day. A gift exchange was also conducted, ensuring everyone received something special to make their day. To add more celebratory warmth, students feasted on delicious meals from their potluck contributions as they enjoyed dining with families, friends, and classmates.

This event perfectly highlighted the joy of celebrating the Christmas season and served as a wonderful way to end the school year.

The LHS Department of the University of Abra successfully held its Family Day celebration today, fostering unity, cooperation, and stronger family ties among students, parents, and faculty members.

The event officially started with a motorcade participated in by Grade 7 Amethyst, Grade 8 Diamond, Grade 9 Ruby, and Grade 10 Emerald. After the motorcade, the opening of the program was held at the Social Hall, marking the start of the dayโ€™s activities.

An oath-taking ceremony for the PTA Officers, conducted by University President โ€” Dr. Gregorio F. Turqueza Jr. โ€” followed, emphasizing their roles and responsibilities in supporting the school and its learners.

The program continued with an intermission number performed by the YCAG dancers, who energized the audience with a hip-hop dance performance. This was followed by a song performance from a YCAG singer, adding entertainment to the celebration.

One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of certificates to the Second Quarter Honor Students, recognizing their academic excellence and hard work.

After the awarding ceremony, various parlor games and icebreakers were conducted, allowing participants to enjoy fun and engaging activities together. A bingo game was also held, giving attendees the chance to win prizes.

The participants then shared a lunch, promoting fellowship and togetherness among families and the school community. Afterward, the attendance raffle and the continuation of the bingo game were conducted, with prizes such as kilos of rice, a Noche Buena set, and a spaghetti pack awarded to lucky winners.

The event concluded with the closing remarks delivered by the LHS Chairperson, Dr. Maria Cristilyn A. Martinez, who expressed appreciation to the organizers, participants, and supporters for making the Family Day celebration a success.

Overall, the Family Day was filled with joy, meaningful activities, and memorable moments that strengthened the bond between the school and its families.

On November 4, 2025, the White Gryphon and Blue Dragon runners faced off in the Running Event for the Intramurals held at the Oval.

Before the race began, both teams prepared with focus and energy. The runners stretched, practiced together, and encouraged one another, showing not just strength but team spirit.

Enyaki Troy F. Camaya and Lhealkhea Qhaiel Xam A. Oribello led the Blue Dragon team to victory in the 200-meter dash (girls) as well as 200-meter dash (boys), respectively. They demonstrated great teamwork, determination, and strong spirit throughout the event. Even though it was a tough race, the White Gryphon athletes never lost their spirit, pushing through with perseverance and pride.

The event ended with smiles and high-fives from both teams, celebrating not just speed but sportsmanship..

LHS Clean and Green: A Day of Unity and Environmental Action



On September 19, 2025, the students of Laboratory High School (LHS), along with the faculty members and utility staff, joined forces for a comprehensive Clean and Green initiative. This activity aimed to improve the cleanliness and orderliness of the campus, creating a healthier learning environment for all. It also fostered teamwork, cooperation, and shared responsibility among the students, encouraging them to actively contribute to the beautification and upkeep of our school.



Under the guidance of teachers, each grade level was assigned to specific zonesโ€”from classrooms and hallways to outdoor areas. Students diligently collected litter, swept floors, and weeded gardens, demonstrating their dedication to the cause. Even though the work was tiring, many found ways to enjoy themselves while cleaning. Faculty members actively participated, providing guidance and support. The utility staff played a crucial role, providing trash bags, as well as assisting with the disposal of collected waste.



Throughout the day, the students of LHS displayed remarkable diligence working together to achieve the goals of the Clean and Green initiative. Their hard work visibly transformed the school's surroundings, making it more welcoming and environmentally friendly. The successful completion of this initiative not only contributed to the beautification of our campus but also gave the students a sense of pride and accomplishment, leaving a positive memory impact on the school community.
