United Against AIDS: Lubong ES Celebrates National AIDS Day with Passion and Awareness

Earlier today, December 2, 2025, Lubong Elementary School joined the nation in observing World AIDS Day, a global health event held annually on December 1st.

The celebration kicked off with an engaging lecture on HIV/AIDS awareness conducted by the class advisers in their own classes, where they shared valuable insights on the disease, its causes, symptoms, and prevention methods. The pupils listened intently, asking thoughtful questions and participating in the open forum discussion.

The highlight of the event was the poster-making contest, where learners unleashed their creativity, expressing their understanding of the theme "Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response " through vibrant colors and powerful messages. The posters showcased the pupils' artistic talents while conveying important messages about AIDS awareness, stigma reduction, and community involvement.

Through this celebration, pupils of Lubong ES gained a deeper understanding of HIV/AIDS, dispelling myths and misconceptions about the disease. The event emphasized the importance of empathy, compassion, and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.

The school's administration and faculty are proud of the pupils’ active participation and enthusiasm, demonstrating their commitment to creating a healthier and more aware community. As the world unites to combat HIV/AIDS, Lubong ES stands strong, empowering its learners to become advocates for change and champions of health and wellness.

LOOK| Lubong ES Participates in the 4th Quarter NSED

The 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) was successfully conducted at Lubong Elementary School at exactly 9:30 this morning. The drill was headed by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator, Mr. Carlos Bargas Jr., with full participation from the teaching staff and all learners. Unlike previous drills, this quarter’s NSED was conducted as a surprise drill to better assess the readiness and immediate response of the school community during an unexpected earthquake scenario.

At the sound of the emergency alarm, learners and teachers inside the classrooms immediately performed the DROP, COVER, and HOLD technique. Since no prior announcement or orientation was given, the reactions and responses were more natural and spontaneous, providing a realistic assessment of preparedness.

After the shaking signal, teachers guided the learners to orderly evacuate their classrooms and proceed to the designated evacuation areas using the predetermined safe routes. The movement of learners remained calm and organized, demonstrating familiarity with evacuation procedures from previous drills.

Upon assembling in the open area, class advisers conducted a headcount to ensure that all learners were accounted for.

The conduct of the surprise 4th Quarter NSED in Lubong ES was deemed successful, as it effectively demonstrated the school community’s level of earthquake readiness and identified areas for improvement. The drill continues to support the school’s commitment to building a safe, resilient, and disaster-prepared learning environment for all.

Bright Smiles, Bright Future
October 15, 2025 | 10:00 AM

As part of the Bright Smiles, Bright Future Program, a lecture, demonstration, and actual conduct of proper toothbrushing were held at Lubong Elementary School on October 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The activity aimed to promote good oral hygiene habits among young learners and encourage them to take care of their teeth at an early age.

The program was conducted by Dr. Maricar T. Valera, with the assistance of Mr. Roland N. Pascua. It was attended by the Kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils of Lubong Elementary School. During the session, Dr. Valera discussed the importance of brushing teeth regularly, the proper way to use toothpaste and toothbrush, and the benefits of maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

After the short lecture, a demonstration on proper toothbrushing was conducted, where pupils eagerly followed the steps and participated with enthusiasm. The learners enjoyed the activity while gaining valuable knowledge on how to care for their oral health.

Through this program, the young pupils of Lubong Elementary School were reminded that a bright smile truly reflects a healthy future.
