United Against AIDS: Lubong ES Celebrates National AIDS Day with Passion and Awareness
Earlier today, December 2, 2025, Lubong Elementary School joined the nation in observing World AIDS Day, a global health event held annually on December 1st.
The celebration kicked off with an engaging lecture on HIV/AIDS awareness conducted by the class advisers in their own classes, where they shared valuable insights on the disease, its causes, symptoms, and prevention methods. The pupils listened intently, asking thoughtful questions and participating in the open forum discussion.
The highlight of the event was the poster-making contest, where learners unleashed their creativity, expressing their understanding of the theme "Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response " through vibrant colors and powerful messages. The posters showcased the pupils' artistic talents while conveying important messages about AIDS awareness, stigma reduction, and community involvement.
Through this celebration, pupils of Lubong ES gained a deeper understanding of HIV/AIDS, dispelling myths and misconceptions about the disease. The event emphasized the importance of empathy, compassion, and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
The school's administration and faculty are proud of the pupils’ active participation and enthusiasm, demonstrating their commitment to creating a healthier and more aware community. As the world unites to combat HIV/AIDS, Lubong ES stands strong, empowering its learners to become advocates for change and champions of health and wellness.
