The event brought together enthusiastic Grade 1 and Grade 2 learners who proudly showcased their improved literacy skills through an impressive reading recital and a series of fun, interactive reading games. The high-energy celebration wrapped up with an awarding ceremony to acknowledge the young campers' hard work and progress ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ…

The success of the camp was made possible by the incredible team behind it. Sustainability met the spotlight as the DWCB Gymnasium was transformed into a fashion runway for the highly anticipated Trashion Show. As part of the Math-Sci-Com Culminating Activity, the event saw six pairs of models from Grades 5 and 6 compete for the titles of Mr. and Ms. Trashionista 2026. ๐Ÿ‘‘

The runway came alive as the candidates showcased breathtaking ensembles crafted entirely from a fusion of indigenous and recycled materials. From intricate gowns made of layered newspapers and plastic spoons to creative suits fashioned from discarded plastic sacks, bubble wrap, and colorful wrappers, the participants proved that environmental stewardship is the ultimate fashion statement.

The audience was left in awe as the students demonstrated that "trash" could indeed be turned into wearable art through the power of creative innovation and resourcefulness.

After a rigorous competition and a challenging question-and-answer portion, two pupils emerged at the top of the leaderboard. Rhonder Klyde Bisquera of Grade 5-Mango was named Mr. Trashionista 2026, joining him in the winner's circle was Frances Pascioles of Grade 6-Molave, who was crowned Ms. Trashionista 2026 ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿคด
