EARLIER TODAY - CES teachers conducted short home visitation despite class suspension due to power interruption and the rain.

Despite the face to face class suspension today, July 24, 2026 caused by a power interruption, short home visitation and Group Chat utilization were still conducted to ensure the safety and welfare of learners.

The brief visitation and GC utilization focused on checking the condition of learners during the outage, as well as delivering important reminders regarding activity sheets and safety measures.

EARLIER TODAY - JULY 22, 2026 - As part of the Philippine National Police's Bisita Eskwela program, Police Executive Master Sergent (PEMS) Dick Timbreza and PEMS Charity P. Delim visited the Grade VI learners to conduct an informative session on the importance of preventing bullying in schools. July 17, 2026 โ€“ In line with environmental awareness and dengue prevention, the YES-O Officers of Calot Elementary School conducted an "Oplan Taob" activity this afternoon.

The activity aimed to eliminate mosquito breeding sites in and around the school and nearby community. YES-O officers, checked the school grounds to overturn, cover, and properly dispose containers that can collect stagnant water.

Through "Oplan Taob," the YES-O hopes to raise awareness on cleanliness, promote a healthy environment, and help lessen dengue cases in both the school and the community.

Calot Elementary School โ€“ The General PTA Officers of Calot Elementary School held a meeting this afternoon, July 17, 2026 to discuss and plan key projects for the current school year.

The meeting was led by Mrs. Bernadette B. Moyrong, Principal I, who presented the priority programs aimed at improving student welfare and enhancing school facilities.

Among the major projects agreed upon by all officers are:
Electric Water System โ€“ to ensure clean and accessible drinking water for all pupils
Drum and Lyre Corps โ€“ to support school programs, parades, and student talent development
Gulayan sa Paaralan โ€“ to promote vegetable gardening, nutrition, and livelihood skills among learners
Other school improvement initiatives โ€“ discussed to further support the learning environment

After a productive discussion, all PTA officers expressed their full support and commitment to help implement the projects. They agreed to work hand-in-hand with the school administration, teachers, and parents to make the plans successful for the benefit of all Calot Elementary School learners.

PRIOR ACTIVITY - In support of environmental protection and in line with the spirit of the Cordillera Day celebration, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) members of Calot Elementary School actively participated in a tree planting activity around the school.

The activity was conducted with the goal of promoting environmental awareness and instilling love for nature among young learners.

Armed with shovels and seedlings, the BSP scouts planted various fruit-bearing trees and Malunggay plant around the school campus. The scouts showed great enthusiasm and teamwork as they worked together to dig holes and plant seedlings.

Calot Elementary School was honored today by the visit of Mrs. Analyn Atmosfera, Public Schools District Supervisor of Bangued District, together with Mrs. Marlene Abaoag, Education Program Supervisor for Araling Panlipunan.

The school staff and learners warmly welcomed the two supervisors during their visit. Classroom observations and a short dialogue with teachers were conducted, with focus on the implementation of programs and instruction in the new curriculum.

The visit aims to strengthen instruction to support teachers with timely and relevant teaching strategies in the field. With heartfelt gratitude the whole staff of Calot ES expressed their appreciation for the guidance and encouragement given by the supervisors.
