Building safer communities, one training at a time 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

The College of Engineering of ASIST, in partnership with ETSO and the LGU of Barangay Tagodtod, Lagangilang, Abra, successfully conducted the Construction Site Safety Training for Community-Based Workers, equipping 70 participants with essential skills on workplace safety, PPE, and hazard prevention.

Through the Construction Site Safety Training for Community-Based Workers, ASIST College of Engineering strengthened community safety awareness in Barangay Tagodtod—supporting SDG 3 and SDG 8 through education and partnership.

Strengthening community connections through innovation ⚙️📱

On May 17, 2025, Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) successfully conducted an extension program and technology transfer titled “Strengthening Communication Connection through Vibration Energy in Wood Raft Engine for Mobile Phone Charging Application” in Barangay Nalnas, Langiden, Abra.

Through lectures, hands-on training, and technology demonstrations, the program empowered wood raft dispatchers, LGU officials, and community members with sustainable solutions to improve communication, safety, and livelihood. This initiative reflects ASIST’s commitment to community development through innovation and service.
