New CDC report shows 9 out of 68 children (13%) reported to have died from flu this season had influenza-associated encephalopathy (IAE), a rare condition where the influenza virus causes swelling and damage in the brain. A lot of patients have been asking me about FLU VACCINE. I do reply to them that the release every year usually is March or April. Now I know why a lot of my dear patients were inquiring.
Flu vaccines should be for the upcoming season, not the previous season.
