DR. MELBA L. RAGAAS is the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Sciences at Aklan State University (ASU). DR. ANNA MAE C. RELINGO is the Director for Planning and Development at Aklan State University. She has received significant recognition for her exceptional contributions to academic research, exemplified by her receipt of the prestigious Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award from the Civil Service Commission (CSC), the highest honor conferred by the CSC upon exceptional government workers in the Philippines, which underscores her exemplary service.

She has been applauded for her outstanding work as a professor and researcher in a traditionally male-dominated field, earning national and international awards. Furthermore, her involvement in innovative projects, such as the mobile app project for small boats, highlights her commitment to advancing technology and research in her field. Moreover, her mentorship of women and girls encouraging their pursuit of research in computing and its applications in AI, computer vision, computer graphics, neural networks, and deep learning, further establishes her as a transformative figure in the academe.
