Another proud moment for Davao Oriental State University–Banaybanay Campus.

As of September 2, 2025, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) major in Crop Science, and the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management (BSBA-FM) programs, have officially been granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commision on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XI. These were after the successful grant of the same certificate to the BTLEd-HE program last August 18, marking a complete COPC grant to all four programs at DOrSU-BC.

These certificates, signed by CHED XI Regional Director Maricar R. Casquejo, is a testament to the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the faculties and campus administration in ensuring quality and credibility of its academic programs.

‎With these significant achievements, Banaybanay Campus is now equipped with a stronger foundation to further its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and quality education.

Together, with the continued and collective efforts, DOrSU-BC aims to elevate its academic standards and serve its students and the community with exceptional quality.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐏𝐀𝐖-𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

We sincerely thank everyone who participated in our National Pet Day Celebration, a meaningful event aligned with our advocacy to promote responsible pet ownership and advance animal welfare within our community.

The event was a heartwarming gathering filled with the joyful presence of cats and dogs, and it was inspiring to witness so many pet lovers united in support of our beloved furry companions.

We were honored to have Dr. Jose Millan C. Urbanozo, Veterinarian II from the Davao Oriental Provincial Veterinary Office, who delivered an informative talk on the proper care and handling of pets, highlighting the importance of creating a safe, loving, and healthy home for animals. He was joined by Mr. Honey Kim Comighud, Agricultural Technologist, with the support of Mrs. Lo**ta M. Largo, Municipal Agriculturist, and Mr. Philip M. Plaga, Livestock Coordinator of the LGU-Banaybanay Municipal Agriculture Office — whose collaboration made this initiative possible.

Free veterinary services were provided during the event, including:
✔️ Anti-rabies vaccination
✔️ Deworming for dogs
✔️ Vitamins for pets

Additionally, pet owners received complimentary dog food and cat food samples and adorable pet-themed stickers, small but meaningful tokens of appreciation for their dedication to responsible pet care. To cap off the celebration, all fur-parents, together with their beloved fur-babies, confidently walked the aisle in a special Best Dressed Pet Award, showcasing their charm and style that was sponsored by our Campus Administrator, Dr. Analie B. Nemenzo.

Events like this reflect our shared vision of fostering a more compassionate, informed, and animal-friendly society. Thank you for your continued support in making this initiative a resounding success. Let us continue to care for, protect, and speak up for our pets, not just today, but every day. 🐾
