Labni Elementary School Celebrates Nutrition Month

Labni ES conducted a week-long Nutrition Month celebration filled with meaningful and interactive activities that promoted healthy eating habits, proper nutrition, and active lifestyles among learners on July 13-17, 2026.

Anchored on this year's theme, "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa Lahat" sub-theme"Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, ating Pangalagaan ", the celebration encouraged learners to recognize the importance of nutritious food in maintaining good health and supporting academic success.
The week-long observance began with energetic Zumba dance sessions held during the Tuesday-Thursday flag ceremonies, encouraging learners, teachers, and school personnel to stay physically active. Learners also participated in classroom-based poster-making contests, where they creatively expressed the importance of healthy eating and nutrition through art.

Another highlight of the celebration was the cooking contest for Key Stage 2 learners. Participants prepared nutritious and affordable dishes using locally available ingredients, demonstrating their knowledge of proper food preparation, teamwork, creativity, and healthy meal planning.

The celebration concluded with the recognition of the winners and participants in the various activities, acknowledging their enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles.

Labni Elementary School successfully conducted the fourth day of its School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP), reaffirming its commitment to improving the nutritional well-being of its learners. The activity benefited 76 learners, composed of all Kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils and identified wasted and severely wasted learners from Grades 2 to 6.

The day's nutritious menu featured pork sinigang with pechay, a wholesome and flavorful meal rich in protein and essential vitamins that contribute to the learners' healthy growth and development. The beneficiaries eagerly enjoyed the freshly prepared meal, which supports the school's goal of addressing malnutrition and encouraging healthy eating habits.

A total of 76 beneficiaries, consisting of all Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners and identified wasted and severely wasted pupils from Grades 2 to 6, actively participated in the feeding activity.
