The Special Curricular Program in Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) of San Roque National High School will conduct its STE Qualifying Examination on:

🗓 March 21, 2026 (Saturday)
⏰ 7:00 AM – 12:00 NN

All applicants are reminded to bring the following on exam day:
✔️ Elementary School ID
✔️ No. 2 Pencil
✔️ Eraser
✔️ Snacks
✔️ Application Stub

Attire:
• White Shirt
• Pants
• Closed Shoes

In the recently conducted 22nd National Science Quest (February 13–15, 2026), you showed remarkable courage, brilliance, and determination across different contests—bringing home numerous awards in various categories. Your passion for science, creativity, and perseverance continue to inspire the entire school community. Keep believing in your abilities, stay curious, and never stop striving for excellence. This achievement is only the beginning of greater things ahead.

Our heartfelt gratitude to all who made this success possible: to Dr. Conrado C. Domingo EPSvr I, Science and Ma'am Loida L. Zamora, EdD. PSDS of Bamban East District for their expert guidance; to Ma'am Arlene P. 🌟 Incoming Grade 7 STE Application is Now Open! 🌟

We are pleased to announce the start of application for aspiring Grade 7 Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) students.

📅 Submission of Requirements:
🗓️ Starting Monday, February 9, 2026 onwards
Applicants are advised to complete and submit all required documents within the given period.

🎤 Interview and Screening Schedule:
🗓️ February 18, 2026 onwards
⏰ 9:00–10:00 AM and 3:00–4:00 PM
All applicants are expected to be present during their assigned time slot for evaluation.

📍 Where to Submit / Inquiries:
Applicants may proceed to the Science Faculty Room and look for Sir Marlon Macni or Sir Laurel Medina for submission of requirements and further instructions.

🚫 Important Advisory:
There will be NO submission of requirements on February 13 and February 16, 2026, as teachers will accompany students who will represent the school in the National Science Quest.

📌 Prepare your requirements early and take the first step toward an exciting STE journey.

There is this perfectly symmetrical cone-shaped volcano that lies in the province of Albay, Bicol Regions. Filled with its fascinating tales, Mount Mayon, an active volcano, became one of UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative Site in 2006. 🌋

The name "Mayon" came from the word "Magayon" that translates to beautiful! Derived from the Bicol Folklore Princess Daragang Magayon whose tragic love story was said to form the mountain! 👸🌿

As mentioned earlier, Mayon is an active volcano. In fact, one of its recent eruptions were from 3 to 4 days ago. Flowing with red, glowy andesitic-basaltic lava that is high in viscosity, meaning it flows slowly that contributes to its perfect cone shape. 🔥

Who knew that this mountain holds many heritage and history beyond its name! 🏞️✨

If immortality had a mascot, it might be a jellyfish. 🪼
One jellyfish can escape aging by starting life again.

Jellyfish have surpassed almost all mass extinctions and lived even before the dinosaurs, around 500 million years ago!

These marine invertebrates comes with a bell shaped hood that resembles a head, with its long, venomous te****les or lappets that have the ability to kill other animals. Each te****le is covered with a deadly cell called cnidocytes, which is responsible for their venom. ☠️🌊

But don't be scared of them, for they are just little sea creatures that float around the ocean with no intent to harm and kill humans. It is considered bad luck if you get stung by these sea critters. 🪼 🍀
