πβ¨ English Month 2025: Where Stories Come Alive β¨π
This month, our English Club Officers set out on a mission β
not just to celebrate reading, but to spark a movement.
From room-to-room campaigns to inspiring messages and interactive activities,
we encouraged students to grab a book, open their minds,
and discover the worlds waiting beyond each page.
Reading is more than a school requirement β
it is power, imagination, confidence, and opportunity.
And as our school turns each page together,
we build a community of thinkers, storytellers, and future leaders.
Join us in this journey.
Read with us. Learn with us. Grow with us.
ππ‘ Because when we choose to read, we choose to rise.

This afternoon marked a significant opportunity for our aspiring student journalists as the capacity building sessions were successfully conducted simultaneously across various categories. The event was designed to further enhance the skills and knowledge of our young campus writers through the guidance of outstanding and highly respected resource speakers in the field of journalism.
Sir Kenneth Pabilonia, an outstanding campus journalism coach whose school paper consistently earns top awards, delivered comprehensive discussions on News Writing, Feature Writing, and Photojournalism. His session provided participants with essential techniques and insights on writing accurate, engaging, and visually supported stories, grounded in years of competitive journalism experience.
At the same time, the highly skilled and insightful Sir Edmark Tonelete facilitated a focused session on Editorial Cartooning. Beyond discussing the fundamentals and creative process behind editorial cartoons, he also took time to critique the studentsβ works, offering constructive feedback to help refine both their artistic expression and journalistic purpose.
Meanwhile, the highly experienced and dedicated Maβam Jayzel Ravelo led an in-depth session on Editorial Writing and Copyediting and Headline Writing. Her discussion emphasized not only the value of editorial pieces in expressing well-informed opinions but also the technical aspects of polishing articles through careful editing and crafting effective, attention-grabbing headlines.
Through these simultaneous capacity building activities, our student journalists gained valuable learning experiences that will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and excellence of campus journalism in our school.
