NU Baliwag School of Tourism and Hospitality Management takes pride of this sustainable community extension program that ranked 47 worldwide in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026 under C6: Inclusive Social Innovation for the Underserved. 💜

Showcasing the heart aligned to hospitality competency of sanitation, the Hands-On-Hope Program displays NU Baliwag commitment to skills development and livelihood of stakeholders beyond the premises of the institution.

NU Baliwag School of Tourism and Hospitality Management takes pride of this sustainable community extension program that ranked 47 worldwide in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026 under C6: Inclusive Social Innovation for the Underserved.

Hands-On Hope is a collaborative livelihood and rehabilitation initiative implemented by the university in partnership with Baliwag City Jail. First launched on December 18, 2024 under the NU CARES Program (Nurturing Upliftment through Compassionate Assistance and Rehabilitation for Empowering Second Chances), the project provides Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) with practical and income-generating skills such as dishwashing liquid production. It equips participants with hands-on training, starter kits, and foundational business knowledge, empowering them to pursue sustainable micro-enterprises.
