June 19 | Mayor Mommy Sonia’s Hatid Nutrisyon sa Paaralan Caravan

Makinabang Elementary School successfully hosted the Mayor Mommy Sonia’s Hatid Nutrisyon sa Paaralan Caravan, a nutrition program initiated by City Mayor Sonia V. Estrella aimed at promoting proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles among learners.

The activity brought valuable nutrition awareness and support services to pupils, reinforcing the importance of healthy eating habits in achieving academic success and overall well-being. The program was attended by Kap Mike Catindig, Brgy Officials, City Councilors and our Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Alejandro R. Fernando III, while School Principal Boots C. De Leon led the school community in welcoming and facilitating the successful implementation of the initiative.

Makinabang Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Sonia V. Estrella and all partners who continue to champion programs that nurture the health and development of every learner.

JUNE 18, 2026 | ALS Makinabang

ALS Makinabang successfully conducted its monitoring activity today, led by Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Alejandro R. Fernando III and Dr. Lhio Roem R. Dela Cruz. The visit aimed to assess and support the ongoing implementation of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program.

The monitoring was warmly received by School Principal Ma’am Boots C. De Leon and ALS Teacher Ms. Oliva G. Santos, who shared updates on learner participation and program implementation.

A total of 27 learners were present during the activity, composed of 22 Junior High School learners, 4 Elementary learners, and 1 Basic Literacy Program (BLP) learner.

The visit highlighted the dedication of ALS Makinabang in providing inclusive and accessible learning opportunities for learners pursuing education through alternative pathways. Thank you to our monitors for their valuable insights, guidance, and continued support for the ALS program.

Makinabang Elementary School Joins the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)

Safety first! Makinabang Elementary School actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), strengthening the preparedness and resilience of our learners, teachers, and the entire school community.

The activity was led by our School Principal, Ma'am Boots C. De Leon and Ma'am Aileen S. Quicho, SDRRMO Coordinator together with Batang Empowered and Resilient Team (BERT) Trained Rescuers.

It was made more meaningful through the presence and guidance of our visitors from Baliwag Public Information Office (PIO) and Baliwag City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) — Felix A. Guidote Jr. and John Vince Jose, CDRRMO Rescuers, who shared their expertise and support during the drill.

Through continuous practice and teamwork, we build a safer, stronger, and more disaster-ready Makinabang Elementary School.

HAPPENING NOW | Project LiNK (Literacy and Numeracy Knowledge) Monitoring

Makinabang Elementary School warmly welcomes Dr. Lhio Roem R. dela Cruz for the monitoring of Project LiNK (Literacy and Numeracy Knowledge), an initiative aimed at strengthening learners' foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.

This monitoring activity highlights our school's commitment to ensuring quality education and continuous improvement in teaching and learning. Through collaboration, guidance, and support, we strive to empower every learner to achieve academic success.

Together, we build stronger readers, better problem-solvers, and lifelong learners.

Makinabang Elementary School conducted Language Mapping for Key Stage 1 learners to better understand the languages spoken by our young learners at home and in their communities.

Led by School Principal Ma’am Boots C. De Leon, the activity highlighted the importance of recognizing learners' linguistic backgrounds as a foundation for effective teaching and meaningful learning. Through this initiative, the school continues its commitment to creating a learning environment where every child feels understood, valued, and supported.

JUNE 17, 2026 | Makinabang Elementary School conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Test of Fundamental Academic Skills (TOFAS) to strengthen the school's implementation and understanding of the assessment program.

The activity was facilitated by TOFAS Focal Person Ma’am Xayne C. San Jose, together with ICT Coordinator Melissa P. Escondo. During the discussion, participants reviewed the objectives, processes, and strategies related to TOFAS, ensuring that teachers are equipped to support learners' academic growth and development.

The FGD served as a valuable avenue for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and planning toward the effective implementation of TOFAS in the school.
