The number 1 reason why homeschooling sucks!
In our 20 years of being a homeschool provider we realized that the number 1 issue of an “unhappy” ,” unsuccessful” homeschooler is…
…NOT the Curriculum
…NOT the program
…NOT the online learning platform or technology
…NOT even the slow internet connection
The number 1 issue of an unhappy and unsuccessful homeschooler is the “Lack of Support System.”
Yes, support system is the most important component of homeschooling.
Normally after enrollment, the parents are left alone to run the homeschooling of their child.
A daunting task…
A frightening experience...
They may receive unlimited online support…
…For some this might work.
But for many parents I know, they need moral support with personal touch.
But how can a homeschool provider give personal support if they have thousands of enrollees with limited number of employees?
The truth is, they cannot!
One person can only support “X” number of students to be effective
This is the reason why I instructed my staff to limit the number of direct enrollees to 500 slots this year...
Because I believe that this is the maximum number I can accommodate with the number of staff that I have.
On the other hand, our 22 Instant Reader Centers (and counting)-- strategically located nationwide -- can only handle 30-100 students per center.
With the influx of inquiries that we are getting every day, I won’t be surprised if the limited slots will be easily filled up by June.
I gave strict instruction to my IR partners that once they reach the max capacity of students assigned to them, they should stop accepting enrollees.
Why?
Because I want them to provide personal touch and care to all their enrollees.
Besides, TLP’s mission is not to have the most number of enrollees --
Our aim is to provide quality support to make sure every enrollee will be given the attention and guidance to succeed.

They are not my employees,
