โ€ŽBohol Island State University โ€“ Balilihan Campus, College of Criminal Justice beams with immense pride as another batch of its exceptional alumni officially joins the ranks of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Region VII (BJMPROVII) as newly appointed Jail Officers 1.

โ€ŽThis outstanding milestone highlights the continuous legacy of the College in producing disciplined, competent, and service-oriented public servants ready to strengthen the workforce of the nation's jail bureau and to uphold the cause of rehabilitation and public safety.

โ€ŽThe solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony was held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the University of the Visayas - Main Campus, Cebu City. Spearheaded by the Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, JCSUPT LUISITO C MUร‘OZ, CESE , alongside esteemed officials of BJMPROVII, the event marked the culmination of months of rigorous screening and selection for a total of 288 newly appointed jail officers who pledged to serve the public with utmost integrity, professionalism, and dedication.

On July 8, 2026, the faculty members of the College of Criminal Justice lit up the stage during BISU Night 2026, one of the highlight celebrations of the Municipality of Balilihan's fiesta in honor of ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‹๐š๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฅ. The event showcased the faculty's creativity, confidence, and artistry as they transformed into their favorite fictional characters, proving that their talents extend far beyond the four corners of the classroom.

Among the night's standout performers was ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‰๐จ๐ฒ๐œ๐ž ๐†. ๐€๐ฅ๐ž, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice, who captivated the audience with her portrayal of ๐‚๐ซ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š ๐๐ž ๐•๐ข๐ฅ. An iconic fictional villain, Cruella de Vil is best known for her bold fashion sense and her obsession with luxurious fur coats made from Dalmatian puppies. She first appeared in ๐ƒ๐จ๐๐ข๐ž ๐’๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ก'๐ฌ 1956 ๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ, ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Ž๐ง๐ž ๐ƒ๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ง๐ฌ and has since become one of the most recognizable characters through various Walt Disney Productions adaptations. Dr. Ale's remarkable portrayal earned her the ๐…๐„๐Œ๐€๐‹๐„ ๐๐„๐’๐“ ๐ˆ๐ ๐‚๐Ž๐’๐๐‹๐€๐˜ ๐€๐“๐“๐ˆ๐‘๐„ award.

The College of Criminal Justice also extends its congratulations to ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐†๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐จ ๐†. ๐†๐š๐ง๐š๐๐ž, who was recognized as ๐Œ๐€๐‹๐„ ๐๐„๐’๐“ ๐ˆ๐ ๐‚๐Ž๐’๐๐‹๐€๐˜ ๐€๐“๐“๐ˆ๐‘๐„ for his impressive portrayal of ๐“๐ซ๐š๐Ÿ๐š๐ฅ๐ ๐š๐ซ ๐ƒ ๐‹๐š๐ฐ, one of the most beloved characters from the anime and manga series ๐Ž๐ง๐ž ๐๐ข๐ž๐œ๐ž. His attention to detail, confidence, and outstanding costume craftsmanship made his performance truly deserving of the recognition.

The success of the College of Criminal Justice during BISU Night 2026 reflects the passion, creativity, and camaraderie of its faculty members. Their outstanding performances not only entertained the audience but also brought pride and honor to the college, making the evening a memorable celebration of talent, unity, and community spirit.

โ€ŽThe Bohol Island State University (BISU) Balilihan Campus community, including the College of Criminal Justice (CCJ), participated in the observance of the Civil Service Commission's Revised Dress Code through an ASEAN-Inspired Attire showcase held on July 6, 2026, at the BISU Balilihan Multi-Purpose Covered Court. During the event, Desseyme B. Bisnar, PhD and Dennis Bryan H. Maritan, RCrim, both faculty members of the College of Criminal Justice, were recognized as the Best in ASEAN-Inspired Attire for the month of July 2026 for their outstanding presentation that exemplified creativity, elegance, cultural appreciation, and professionalism while promoting ASEAN identity and unity. Their recognition reflects the College of Criminal Justice's commitment to excellence, professionalism, and institutional pride, while inspiring the BISU Balilihan community to celebrate cultural diversity and uphold the values of public service.
