The Basura Garden is situated in the Poblacion, Balete Aklan, measures 997 square meters including the house of Lachica’s.June 2009 the Basura garden and the gift shop was formally opened to the public. To heighten consciousness on environmental awareness and cultural value, the Lachica Art gallery was inaugurated on M

arch 15, 2014, Enhanced School of Living Traditions on August 19, 2016, the center and art gallery showcasing the Art, Eco- Cultural and Heritage of the town of Balete. Basura Garden is owned and developed by the Lachica family who are notably composed of seasoned multi awarded as well as budding visual artists. Their combined creative spirits have made the Basura Garden in constant development in its attempt to celebrate the beauty of nature as framed in their diverse and mix media urging the viewers to see beauty out of the usually waste materials that we take for granted.
