In pursuit of these ideals, the Science Major Society participated in the โ, organized by the Teacher Education Studentsโ Organization (TESO) in partnership with the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), the Organization of BIT Students (ORBITS), and other School of Education organizations.
The training emphasized strategic competencies essential to student governance. Sessions on business writing and documentation, led by Mr. Luis Philip A. Postor, MAT, challenged participants to elevate the precision and professionalism of organizational outputs. CPA Chrystal Faye V. Salazarโs discussion on fund management underscored the ethical responsibilities tied to financial stewardship.
Beyond technical skills, the program fostered values-driven leadership. TESO Co-Adviser Jefferson Bautista introduced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for student initiatives, while Adviser Charles Velasco emphasized their relevance in shaping responsive and inclusive programs. Mrs. Ma. Theresa Morena D. Saรฑanoโs insights on cooperative engagement further expanded the conversation toward community-based leadership. Dr. Alma S. Bayudan, Director of Student Affairs and Services, concluded the training with a critical dialogue on documentation, facilities, and the deeper dimensions of student leadership.
The Science Major Society recognizes this training not merely as an event, but as a strategic investment in its leadership core. The knowledge gained will inform future initiatives, strengthen internal systems, and reinforce the societyโs commitment to excellence in science education and public service.
