Today, the ASCOT College of Law community mourns the passing of a remarkable leader, mentor, and pillar of our institution, Dr. Dolores Salvacion F. "Salva" Tolentino. Ma’am Salva’s dedication to ASCOT was profound and far-reaching. As our former Planning and Finance Director, her vision and sharp leadership were vital during one of our most historic milestones: the establishment of the ASCOT College of Law. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes, instrumentally ensuring that key financial and planning processes were seamlessly completed in time for critical permit applications. Without her grit and administrative mastery, this dream for Aurora’s future lawyers would not have been realized so swiftly.

Beyond her strategic brilliance, she was a compassionate Registered Guidance Counselor, a dedicated researcher, and a guiding light who looked after the mental well-being of both staff and students alike.

We extend our deepest condolences, prayers, and love to the bereaved Tolentino family. May you find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in every corner of the institution she loved, and in the lives of the many people she touched.

Rest in peace, Ma'am Salva. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. 🤍

The Legal Education Board LEB Chair Jayson R. Barlis, assisted by Commissioners Lorenzo Reyes and Justine Kyle Mapalo, and ASCOT SUC President II Renato Reyes with Dean Raquel Dujunco and representatives from the student body of ASCOT College of Law sat on a round table consultative meeting.

The meeting delved on innovative suggestions, plans, and future outlook that the College Administration represented by President Reyes and Dean Dujunco looks forward to, and the guidance and assistance that the LEB may extend to the College for the said purpose.

ASCOT College of Law acknowledges the huge role of the LEB in making its existing programs, projects, and activities a continuing success.

In an intimate moment with the two fresh graduates of the ASCOT College of Law, the legal community, comprised of faculty members, legal officers, government lawyers, and private practitioners, with the respective attendance of honorable judges, the College Dean Rocky Dujunco, the Commissioners of the Legal Education Board, Commissioners Reyes and Mapalo, and LEB Chairperson Jayson Barlis, brought wisdom, congratulatory remarks and words of inspiration as the graduates venture the challenge of the upcoming bar examinations.

The members of the family of the graduates, their former classmates, and other younger batches of Juris Doctor (JD) students also attended and took part in the celebratory moment.

ASCOT College of Law remains its steadfast commitment to honing happy lawyers, with commitment to the society and cordial relations with other members of the legal profession as it continues to hurdle the challenges of the changing times.

Following its historic formal inauguration on September 2, 2022 where Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo served as the inaugural Guest of Honor and Speaker, the ASCOT College of Law has achieved another milestone.

On July 9, 2026, four years after its inception, the college finally produced its first batch of graduates, conferring the degree of Juris Doctor upon Michelle M. Valenzuela and Pamela M. Tomin.

The said graduation is another historic milestone in the making, for Legal Education Board (LEB) Chairperson Atty. Jayson R. Barlis himself served as the Guest of Honor and Commencement Speaker. Chairperson Barlis also officially presented the Government Recognition to the College confirming the authority of the College of Law to grant the Juris Doctor degree.

The institution proudly celebrates the continuing milestones of the college as it continues to flourish from its humble beginnings. The College of Law also extends its deepest gratitude to Chairperson Barlis for gracing the celebration and inspiring the future lawyers of ASCOT.
