𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 3𝐫𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 (𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐃) 2026!

In support of the Department of Education’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives, the teachers and personnel of Pararao National High School actively participated in the scheduled earthquake drill by performing the prescribed safety protocols and strengthening their preparedness for possible seismic emergencies.

Meanwhile, our learners participated from the safety of their homes, practicing the essential “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol—an important life-saving practice that helps them know what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.

The NSED reminds us that preparedness is a shared responsibility. Whether in school or at home, knowing the proper response can help protect lives and reduce risks during an earthquake.

MAMAYA NA ANG THIRD QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED)!

Inaanyayahan ang lahat na makiisa sa Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) ngayong Setyembre 10, 2026, alas-dos ng hapon.

Magsisimula ang programa ng ceremonial pressing of the button nang ala-una ng hapon.

Pangungunahan ng OCD Regional Offices ang pagsasagawa ng NSED sa iba't ibang rehiyon, katuwang ang mga lokal na pamahalaan at iba't ibang sektor.

Abangan ang livestream ng NSED sa Civil Defense PH at NDRRMC pages.

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡 ☀️

Tomorrow, July 07 (1:30 AM PhST), the Earth will be at its farthest distance from the Sun for 2026. Despite this, there are no expected direct effects on the global climate or sunshine.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄? Rather than a perfect circle, the Earth's orbit around the Sun is elliptical or slightly oval-shaped. There are points in the Earth's journey where it will be at its closest and farthest from the Sun.

At aphelion, the Earth will be 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. The word aphelion comes from the Greek words "apo" (meaning "away from") and "helios" (meaning "Sun"). For tomorrow’s aphelion, the Earth will be around 152,087,775 kilometers from the Sun, or about 𝟭.𝟰% 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲.
