๐๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ค๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐?
Iโve always wondered, why the sky is ๐๐๐๐, and not ๐๐๐๐๐๐โor ๐๐๐๐, maybe even ๐๐๐๐๐.
I read that itโs because when sunlight enters Earthโs atmosphere, its colors scatter differently. Blue light scatters more than the others, painting the sky above us in a color ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐
๐๐..
It is something so ordinary that we ๐๐๐๐๐๐ stop to notice it.
But sometimes, we ๐๐๐๐๐๐ to look up.
We get caught in ๐๐๐
๐
๐๐๐, experience our ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, and problems that feel much bigger than they really are. And when everything around us feels dark, it can be difficult to believe that the sky can ever look blue again.
But it can.
People who once struggled to see a tomorrow have ๐๐๐๐๐
to become mothers, journalists, lawyers, pilots, and countless other things they never imagined becoming.
So if today feels unbearably dark, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.
The sky will still be there.
And so should ๐๐๐.
But what if we stopped for a moment? What if we asked again, not because we ๐ซ๐ถ๐ผ๐ฉ๐ป them, but because we ๐ช๐จ๐น๐ฌ enough to know whats happening in their head.
Every September, ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก reminds us to look beyond what people show and make space for conversations that are often left unsaid.
The need for that conversation is real. The World Health Organization reports that more than ๐๐๐,๐๐๐ people ๐
๐๐ by su***de every year worldwide, with su***de ranking as the third leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 29.
The Philippines, too, faces this reality. In 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority recorded a national su***de mortality rate of 2.7 deaths per 100,000 people, while Central Visayas recorded 4.8, one of the highest regional rates in the country.
There are people who once thought they wouldnโt live past 13 or 26. But now, some have lives to live for. Some have became Lawyers, journalists, teachers, pilots, and so much more. You might become someone you havenโt even imagined yet.
That is why prevention can begin with something as simple as noticing.
A friend who stops participating, a relative who doesnโt have appetite to eat anymore, or sudden bursts of sadness.
Not every change means someone is suicidal, but ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐.
We all have stories to tell, bonds to mend, and things to look forward to. Youโre not alone and itโs never too late to reach out.
Do not be afraid to speak up.
Tomorrow is ๐ณ๐ผ๐ช๐ฒ๐ to have you
๐๐ถ๐ผ matter every month, not just in September. A painful moment can feel endless, but feelings can change, circumstances can change, and help can make a difference.
There is so much ahead of you that you havenโt discovered yet. Places you havenโt seen, people you havenโt met, and a version of yourself you havenโt become.
So, maybe the next time you catch yourself asking, โWhy is the sky blue?โ, donโt just look for the scientific answer.
Look up.
Notice the color. Notice the possibilities behind it, even through clouds..
And if someone beside you seems to be struggling, look at them, too.
Sometimes, all it takes is noticing.
Because some things are worth staying long enough to see.
Trust that it will always get ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ.
