BCS-SELG recognizes as 2nd Most Outstanding organization, clinches back-to-back recognition

The Supreme Elementary Learner Government of Balaoan Central School adjudged as 2nd Placer (Central School Category) for the 2026 Search of the Most Outstanding Supreme Elementary Learner Government of the La Union Schools Division during an awarding ceremony at Paradiso Resort, Samara, Aringay, La Union on March 24.

Dr. Mary Eu Ann R. Ordoño, Principal IV, Mrs. Elaine V. Carolino, Teacher VI, SELG adviser, Ms. Maria Jhesa O. Castillo, Teacher I, SELG co-adviser, Zhiane O. Oyando, SELG president, and Amber Khaye O. Lucero, Scarlet Savannah S. Natividad, and Marielle Obillo received the awards.

This is the second year that the organization was recognized for its outstanding performance.

This is a testament of the good governance and leadership of its officers with the proper guidance of its advisers and with the support of the school administration together with the collaborative effort of the stakeholders and other partners.

The organization hopes to solidify its reputation and aiming for sustainability in accordance to transparent governance.

“Fly high, butterfly” - Ciriaco S. Ordinario, III

These are the words of Engr. Ciriaco S. Ordinario, III, having served as the guest of honor and speaker of Balaoan Central School during the 2026 Graduation and Moving-Up Ceremonies on March 31.

107 graduates and 92 completers who defied barriers and transcended conventions and bloomed as butterflies, received their diplomas and distinctions.

Engr. Ordinario likened the journey of these young learners into the metamorphosis of a butterfly- from an egg evolving to a larva until becoming a pupa and flying high as butterflies. It represents profound change, growth, and renewal, serving as a powerful metaphor for personal transformation and spiritual evolution.

SBM Hon. Leandro V. Olivar, Chairman, Committee on Education also graced the occasion despite of his hectic schedule. He then stressed the importance of integrity and commitment to public service.

Dr. Mary Eu Ann. R. Ordoño, Principal IV, also emplasized cultivating both skills (competence) and values (character) to prepare graduates for future leadership roles.

The Department of Education encouraged simple and meaningful ceremonies for this year’s end of school year rites.

BCS honors awardees in 2026 Recognition Day

Academic and special awardees of Balaoan Central School were recognized during the 2026 Recognition Day at the school pavilion on March 30.

Learners with commendable academic performance from Grades 1 to 5 attended the activity including learners from the Special Needs Education who excel in the different subjects and co-curricular activities.

Mrs. Michelle O. Guerrero, Teacher VI of Castor Z. Concepcion Memorial National High School served as the guest of honor and speaker.

She commend the awardees for their exceptional performance and reminded them to always stay humble amidst their success.

Mrs. Guerrero together with her family also donated a 1-span of the ongoing construction of the perimeter fence Phase 2 of the school.
