Golden Wolves, Thunder Bulls Reign in Search for Mr. and Miss Intramurals 2026

Neo Niel Globio of Golden Wolves and Kate Canales of Thunder Bulls were crowned Mr. and Miss Intramurals 2026, respectively, during the opening day of the School Meet 2026 at Balangkayan National High School on August 15.

Canales also took home the People’s Choice Award and Miss Photogenic titles.

Vin Kristof Borac of Thunder Bulls and Jael Yvonne Basilia of Blue Eagles secured the 1st Runner-Up titles, while Renier Gesite of Blue Eagles and Julie Ann Contado of Golden Wolves were named 2nd Runners-Up.

Meanwhile, Reniel Gopole and Jahleyssa Claire Amida, both representing Blazing Phoenix, finished as 3rd Runners-Up.

The pageant formed part of the opening activities of the School Meet 2026, which brings together student-athletes from different grade-level teams in a celebration of sportsmanship, talent, wit, and school spirit.

BNHS Opens School Intramurals 2026

Mrs. Edelyn G. Depalco, school head of Balangkayan National High School (BNHS), officially opened the School Intramurals 2026 on August 15, marking the start of a two-day school meet with the theme, "BNHS: Playing with Heart, Leading with Honor, United in Excellence."

The opening activities began with a parade participated in by four competing teams: the Blazing Phoenix of Grade 7, Golden Wolves of Grade 8, Thunder Bulls of Grade 9, and Blue Eagles of Grade 10.

The teams energized the parade with their powerful yells, performances, and dance moves as they showcased their team spirit and enthusiasm for the dance parade competition.

During the opening program, Mrs. Ma. Josie A. Contado, district head, emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and excellence in achieving success—not only in sports but also in life.

Mrs. Depalco likewise commended the Blazing Phoenix for demonstrating discipline and obedience throughout the parade and opening program. She stressed that discipline plays a significant role in helping student-athletes excel in their chosen fields.

Following the opening program, various sports competitions commenced, with the school meet set to resume on August 22 for its second day.

Balangkayan National High School gathered our Grade 7 parents anew last August 5, 2026, at the BNHS Social Hall for a purposeful reorientation grounded on the theme "Strengthening the Partnership Between Home and School for Learners' Success."

The program opened with a prayer led by Ms. Aisa B. Detalo and the Philippine National Anthem led by Ms. Monaliza Guial, followed by an energizer from Mr. Raul E. Yadao. Ms. Shairene Lucia Gelsano, Grade 7 Level Chairman, delivered the Welcome Remarks that set the tone for the morning.

Parents were then reoriented on key laws and school programs, beginning with the discussion on RA 9344 (Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act) and RA 10627 (Anti-Bullying Act) by PSSg Biverly M. Globio of the WCPD-PNCO. This was followed by a reorientation on the School-Based Deworming and Immunization Program by Ms. Dreidelle Borja, PHN of the Rural Health Unit, and a discussion on School Sports Meet, and other school activities by Mr. Raul E. Yadao.

2026 NUTRITION MONTH CULMINATING ACTIVITY

​Theme: “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat! Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

​In support of national advocacy for nutrition and environmental preservation, the Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) Department successfully facilitated a series of student contests and culminating activities for Nutrition Month 2026.

​Learners actively participated in the following events:

On the Spot Poster Making Contest
On the Spot Slogan Making Contest
Digital Presentation Contest
Essay Writing Contest
Online Nutri-Quiz Competition

Balangkayan National High School successfully held the Induction Ceremony for its newly elected Parent-Teacher-Community Association (PTCA) Officers last July 31, 2026, at 5:00 pm onwards.

​The event was meaningfully graced by municipal officials led by Vice Mayor Edith Anne Basco and the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, underscoring the strong synergy between the local government and the academe.

​We express our utmost gratitude to all newly elected officers, dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and stakeholders whose continued commitment ensures the holistic development of our learners.
