Excitement and anticipation filled the air as Balangkayan Central Elementary School officially welcomed learners for the opening of classes through its first flag raising ceremony and a short opening program.

Classrooms once again came alive with cheerful conversations, eager faces, and the promise of new beginnings. For many learners, the day marked a joyful reunion with friends and teachers, while for others, it was the start of a new chapter in their educational journey.

A highlight of the program was the welcome message delivered by the District Supervisor Mrs. Ma. Josie Contado, who encouraged learners to embrace learning with enthusiasm and perseverance. She also emphasized the importance of the collective support of teachers, parents, and the community in helping every child succeed.

As another school year begins, the BCES community moves forward with renewed hope, ready to learn, grow, and create meaningful experiences together. Balangkayan Central Elementary School officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2026 this morning, June 1, with a motorcade around the community followed by a kickoff program held at the school grounds.

The activity gathered teachers, parents, stakeholders, community partners, and volunteers in support of this yearโ€™s Brigada Eskwela with the theme, โ€œBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.โ€ Personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) also graced the event, demonstrating their continued support for school programs and community engagement.

A highlight of the program was the message delivered by the schoolโ€™s new designated principal, Mrs. Ethelmarie Cafe, who emphasized the importance of unity, volunteerism, and shared responsibility in creating a safe, clean, and learner friendly environment. She encouraged everyone to work hand in hand in preparing the school for another productive academic year.

The program also featured the Signing of the Pledge of Commitment, symbolizing the collective dedication of stakeholders and partners in supporting the schoolโ€™s goals and initiatives.

Following the ceremony, parents and volunteers proceeded to their assigned classrooms and work areas to begin various Brigada Eskwela activities, including cleaning, organizing, repairing, and beautifying school facilities.

The successful kickoff reflected the enduring spirit of bayanihan and the strong partnership between the school and the community, proving that quality education begins with a united effort from all.

Balangkayan Central Elementary School gathered parents, guardians, teachers, and stakeholders for its Third Quarter Portfolio Day for School Year 2025 to 2026 on January 31, 2026, at the BCES Multi Purpose Hall. The activity served as a meaningful platform to showcase learner progress while strengthening the partnership between home and school.

The program formally opened with a prayer led by Pastor Noli Dalina, followed by the Nationalistic Song and Division Hymn presented through recording. The School Principal, Mrs. Mergine G. Gesite, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the shared responsibility of educators and families in nurturing every learnerโ€™s academic and personal growth.

Adding life to the opening program was an intermission number by a student teacher, Mark Joven C. Elpedez. Recognition was given to cooperative parents and stakeholders through the awarding of certificates, acknowledging their valuable contributions to school programs and initiatives.

The second part of the activity featured the awarding of certificates to deserving learners, a portfolio gallery walk, and parent teacher conferences conducted in the classrooms. Parents were able to view their childrenโ€™s academic outputs and engage in open discussions with teachers regarding learner performance and development throughout the quarter.

The program was smoothly facilitated by the Master of Ceremony, Maโ€™am Venus Abendanio, Grade One teacher, ensuring an organized and engaging flow of activities.

The Third Quarter Portfolio Day reaffirmed BCESโ€™s commitment to recognizing learner achievements, strengthening home school partnerships, and fostering a supportive learning environment where every childโ€™s progress is valued and celebrated.

Balangkayan Central Elementary School witnessed a heartwarming and lively activity as Kindergarten Dagohoy, under the guidance of their adviser Mrs. Richelle Gesite, held a slumber party on January 23, 2026. The activity aimed to create a meaningful learning experience beyond the classroom while nurturing social skills, independence, and cooperation among young learners.

The classroom was thoughtfully prepared to provide a safe and welcoming environment where pupils could enjoy the experience together. Learners participated in age appropriate games, storytelling, group activities, and shared meals that encouraged interaction and teamwork.
