Contest Mechanics for Best Dressed Male & Female:

The Best Dressed contest will consist of three rounds of judging. The first round will take place during the Lights Parade, the second round will be held at 9:00 PM during the Alumni Grand Ball, and the final judging and awarding will occur at 12:00 midnight.

Contestants will be judged based on the following criteria:

Relevance to the Theme (50%): Contestants must wear attire that reflects the fashion trends of the 1970s.
Timeliness (30%): Contestants should be prompt in attending the event and participate throughout the designated time period.
Creativity and Authenticity (20%): Contestants will be evaluated based on the creativity and authenticity of their 1970s attire. This includes the originality of their outfit, attention to detail, and how well they capture the essence of the fashion era.
The total score for each contestant will be out of 100% with the breakdown as follows:

Relevance to the Theme: 50%
Timeliness: 30%
Creativity and Authenticity: 20%

The contestant with the highest overall score at the end of the three rounds of judging will be awarded the titles of
Best Dressed Male and Best Dressed Female

Best Dressed Batch

Attire Requirement: Each member of the batch must wear attire that reflects the fashion trends of the 1970s.
Early Arrival Advantage: Batches that arrive early in the assembly area will have a chance to win additional points.
Duration of Attire: It is highly recommended for batch members to wear their 1970s attire from the start of the Lights Parade until the end of the event or the Alumni Grand Ball.
Best Jolly Batch: The batch that displays the most joyful and enthusiastic spirit during the parade will gain additional points.

Criteria for Judging:

Relevance to the Theme (40%): The batch will be evaluated based on how well their attire represents the fashion of the 1970s.
Creativity and Originality (30%): Judges will assess the batch's overall creativity and originality in their choice of attire, accessories, and overall presentation.
Unity and Cohesion (20%): The level of unity and cohesion among the batch members in terms of their attire, theme ex*****on, and coordination will be considered.
Spirit and Energy (10%): Judges will observe the batch's level of enthusiasm, energy, and participation during the parade.

The total score for each batch will be out of 100% with the breakdown as follows:

Relevance to the Theme: 40%
Creativity and Originality: 30%
Unity and Cohesion: 20%
Spirit and Energy: 10%
The batch with the highest overall score will be awarded as the Best Dressed Batch.

Best Batch Arc/Banner (during the Lights Parade)

The Best Batch Arc/Banner Contest is open to all alumni of Balangkayan National High School, and it will revolve around the Disco Fever 70s theme for this year's Grand Alumni Homecoming. Here are the refined mechanics:

Participation Requirement: Each batch is required to join the banner-making contest.
Banner Size: The arc banner should be measured at 5 feet in length. Failure to comply with the measurement will result in a demerit of 1 point per inch.
Batch Participation: Each batch should have a minimum of 10 members participating in the parade.
Material Usage: The use of any materials is appreciated, but the decoration with LED lights is highly encouraged since its a "Lights Parade"
Early Display Advantage: Banners displayed after the parade in the desired area will have a better chance of winning.
Final Decision: The decision of the Panel of Judges is final and irrevocable.

Relevance to the Theme (30%): The judges will assess how well the banner reflects the Disco Fever 70s theme.
Originality (25%): The degree of uniqueness and fresh ideas incorporated into the banner's design will be evaluated.
Creativity (25%): Judges will consider the overall creativity displayed in the choice of materials, color schemes, and artistic elements.
Visual Impact (20%): The visual appeal and impact of the banner when displayed will be taken into account.
The total score for each batch's arc banner will be out of 100 points, with the breakdown as follows:

Relevance to the Theme: 30%

Creativity: 25%
Visual Impact: 20%
Total: 100%

The "Provincial Band" of Eastern Samar

Welcome to our BNHS Grand Alumni Homecoming Page!

Our annual event will happen very soon (July 12), so as early as now we are doing preparations to make this year's grand alumni homecoming be extra special for all of us.

We will be honoring the Golden Jubilarians this year (Batch 1973), and our former teachers.. this is our way of saying "thank you" for all the days you have shared with us during our BNHS years.
