In collaboration with Changwon National University (CWNU), Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) took part in the CWNU International Short Program for Mechanical Engineering (ME): Strengthening Capabilities and Cultural Connections Among ME Professionals held in Changwon, South Korea, last January 12-16, 2026.
The program was attended by the BPSU-ME faculty and fourth-year ME students, mainly focusing on strengthening the connection between both universities, enhancing the capabilities of ME professionals, and cultural exchange among the Filipino and Korean students.
During the five-day program, the BPSU-ME participants engaged in various activities such as Korean language classes, discussions on future collaborations, industry immersion at Doosan Enerbility and Korea Energy, traditional Korean activities, and a research presentation for the faculty members.
โThis event marks a significant milestone for us. This is the beginning of the internationalization of the Mechanical Engineering Department of BPSU. Through this program, we have taken a vital step toward strengthening international linkages, expanding global opportunities, and preparing our students and faculty to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.โ BPSU-ME Department Head Engr. Jhon Zen Capulong said in his closing remarks at the farewell ceremony of the program.
In line with this Engr. Capulong stated that he plans to continue the internationalization program for the succeeding years with the participation of students and faculty from BPSU-ME and CWNU.

show support for our BSME Batch 2025 reviewing students, select faculty members from the BPSU Mechanical Engineering Department, led by Department Head Engr. Jhon Zen I. Capulong and Cluster Head Engr. Gerald S. Robles, together with Dr. Grisom P. Gines, Engr. Renz Michael S. Magat, Engr. Christian Kenneth D. Garduce, and Engr. Emerson M. Navarro, visited PRIME Review Center in Sampaloc, Manila last December 1, 2025, accompanied by two BSME students.
Even during the school break, the faculty made time to reconnect with their former students, offering encouragement and sharing insights from their own board exam journeys. Their presence aimed to boost the reviewersโ confidence as the 2026 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination draws near.
The group was received warmly by PRIME Review Center founding director Engr. Roger Capote, who shared helpful updates on the reviewersโ current standing and what to expect in the coming weeks before the February 2026 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination. The team appreciates the openness and hospitality shown during the visit.
This visit reflects the departmentโs ongoing support and commitment to preparing students for success in the licensure examination.
