( ̶D̶O̶N̶'̶T̶) LOOK UP!

Comet Leonard dazzles over the Metro Manila Skyline as it continues its path towards the sun. Keep in mind that you will not see Comet Leonard like this by just using your naked eyes. The sky in this photo are 260 stacked images. You need to use a binoculars or telescope to see (more details of) the comet.☄️

According to Gregory Leonard, who first discovered the comet, this will be the last time we are going to see it. "It's speeding along at escape velocity, 44 miles per second. After its slingshot around the sun, it will be ejected from our solar system, and it may stumble into another star system millions of years from now."

For those who want to recreate the shot:
Technique: Blended Panorama Image.

Settings: ISO 3200, f/4.0, 2 sec shutter
Foreground: single shot
Sky: 260 image stacked, untracked

Pretty pink😍

| "M81 Galaxy, Pretty in Pink"

Here is our Earth Science Photo of the Day (ESPOD), the Messier 81 Galaxy. The color in this "picturesque" signify triple light wavelengths. The bluish part is from the ultraviolet light as taken by the Galaxy Evolution Explorer, yellowish-white as taken by Hubble Space Telescope, and the red is for the infrared light detected by Spitzer.

The blue regions are the hottest, and are composed of the youngest stars. Meanwhile, the reddish pink is the path of dust that lines the spiral arms. Lastly, the orange center is the older stars.

| The Hubble View of Orion Nebula

An up-close look at Orion's sword!

This photo of Orion Nebula is one of the sharpest images ever captured by the Hubble Space Telescope using the data it gathered.

Orion Nebula, also known as M42, is one of the most famous celestial objects known. It is a cloud of gas and dust located in constellation Orion, which is also the nearest star-forming region.

TWO SCENES IN ONE PHOTO?
