All classes under the Undergraduate, Graduate School, College of Law, and College of Medicine shall shift to ASYNCHRONOUS ONLINE LEARNING effective 3:00 PM today, August 19, until Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Faculty members are reminded to give students ample time to accomplish and submit their assigned activities and academic requirements, taking into consideration the prevailing weather conditions and possible difficulties in accessing learning resources.

In view of the Orange Rainfall Warning and the continuous flooding being experienced in several areas of Bataan, BPSU announces the following adjustments to its academic and office operations:

โ€ข All scheduled Midterm Examinations shall be moved to August 24โ€“29, 2026 (Monday to Saturday).
โ€ข All classes shall shift to synchronous online learning from August 18- 22, 2026 to allow the completion of remaining course topics.
โ€ข Graduate School Onsite Midterm Examination shall proceed on August 22, 2026.
โ€ข The deadline for Dropping of Courses is extended until Monday, August 24, 2026.
โ€ข All University offices shall conduct online transactions from August 18-20, 2026. A skeletal workforce shall be maintained for the Finance, Human Resource, and Cashier offices to ensure the continuity of essential onsite services.

Students and faculty members are advised to coordinate with their respective colleges regarding specific class and examination schedules.

The University continues to closely monitor the prevailing weather conditions and the situation in affected communities.

In view of the prevailing weather conditions and to ensure the safety and well-being of the BPSU community, the University shall implement the following arrangements for Friday and Saturday:
Friday, August 14: All classes, OJT, clinical, hospital, and other related duties shall shift to synchronous online learning, while University offices shall conduct online transactions.

The scheduled School of Midwifery Apron and Pinning Investiture shall proceed as scheduled.

Students who experience difficulty participating due to flooding, unstable internet connectivity, power interruptions, or other weather-related conditions may be excused, provided that they inform their respective instructors.

-University employees shall ๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ž and continue the regular delivery of services. Employees affected by flooding or other weather-related conditions that make travel difficult or unsafe may be excused from onsite reporting, provided that they coordinate with their respective Campus Directors or immediate supervisors.

-The School of Nursing Capping and Pinning Ceremony shall proceed as scheduled on August 13, 2026.

Students and employees from Dinalupihan Campus who are affected by flooding or other conditions that may make travel difficult or unsafe shall be excused from attending their face-to-face classes or reporting onsite. The Office of the University Registrar successfully conducted Project REGI: Recharging Excellence, Growth, and Integrity Office Management Workshop and Workplace Synergy Program on August 5โ€“7, 2026, anchored on the theme: โ€œACHIEVE-ing Excellence in Higher Education Services: Advancing Integrity, Financial Stewardship, Employee Wellness, and Citizen-Centered, Gender-Responsive Frontline Service through Workplace Synergy.โ€

The three-day activity brought together the University Registrar, Associate Registrar, Campus Registrars, and REGI personnel for professional learning, organizational development, wellness, collaboration, and reflection.

The activity opened with a welcome message and statement of purpose from University Registrar Mr. Ferdinand M. Santos, followed by messages from Vice President for Student and Alumni Services Dr. Adrian C. Perdio and University President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag, highlighting the importance of continuous development, teamwork, and service excellence.

Day 1 focused on procurement, financial stewardship, and citizen-centered and gender-responsive public service, featuring sessions from Ms. Mary Grace C. Forbes, Head of the Procurement Management Office; Ms. Mylene G. Santos, University Budget Officer; and Ms. Maria Crisanta V. Casupanan-Canare, University CART Secretariat and GFPS-CHRE member.

The discussions emphasized responsible resource management, ethical governance, strategic planning, gender-responsive service, and putting clients at the center of frontline transactions.

Day 2 began with a coordination meeting with MIS Head Mr. Pio B. Cruz and the ORFD Development Team, where the continuous enhancement of the Online Request for Documents (ORFD) System was discussed.

Employee wellness was highlighted through Dr. Rochelle G. Tiongson's session, โ€œManaging Priorities and Healthy Boundaries for Sustainable Workplace Excellence.โ€ This was followed by Mr. Ferdinand M. Santos's discussion on โ€œThe Modern Registrar: Roles, Challenges, and Opportunities.โ€

The day also featured the demonstration of the REGIQueue Queuing Management System, development of which was continued by Mr. James Jolo Garcia and Mr. Jerome Guerrero, as the system moves toward its soft launch.

Day 3 focused on wellness, collaborative challenges, leadership, cooperation, reflection, and commitment setting, strengthening the bonds among TeamREGI personnel and reinforcing the importance of teamwork in delivering quality public service.

The activity concluded with the awarding of Certificates of Participation to personnel who completed the three-day program.

Project REGI contributes to SDGs 3, 4, 5, 8, and 16 by promoting employee well-being, strengthening competencies that support quality higher education services, advancing gender-responsive and inclusive frontline service, fostering professional growth and decent work, and strengthening ethical, transparent, accountable, and people-centered institutional practices.

More than a workshop, Project REGI is an investment in the people, systems, and culture of the Registrar's Office, strengthening TeamREGI from within so that it can respond better to the needs of students, alumni, faculty, and other stakeholders.
