Today, we honor every teacher and educator, regardless of gender, age, teaching role, discipline, workplace, or circumstance.

We celebrate those who teach in classrooms, laboratories, workshops, communities, and digital spaces; those who teach face-to-face, online, or through blended learning; those who are beginning their journey and those who have dedicated decades to the profession; and those who continue teaching and guiding learners through changing times and challenging circumstances.

This year’s theme reminds us that valuing teachers means more than saying thank you. It means recognizing teaching as a profession worthy of dignity, respect, support, meaningful participation, opportunities for growth, and conditions that enable educators to fulfill their vital role in society.

For 60 years, the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers has provided an important international reference for protecting and advancing the teaching profession. Today, as education continues to evolve, the call to stand with teachers remains essential.

To every teacher who inspires, guides, listens, challenges, encourages, creates opportunities, and helps learners believe in what is possible, thank you.

Your work does more than shape learners. You help shape communities, strengthen societies, and shape our shared futures.

||𝐁𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘||

In celebration of World Teachers’ Day, all classes across Bataan Peninsula State University shall shift to asynchronous learning mode on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Faculty members are advised to provide appropriate asynchronous learning activities and course requirements for their students. No synchronous or face-to-face classes shall be conducted on the said date.

Faculty members under the Administrative Council are likewise authorized to work from home on October 5.

Student organizations and student leaders planning to hold Teachers’ Day-related activities are advised to schedule their programs on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, subject to the usual approval and coordination procedures.

College Deans and concerned offices are requested to disseminate this advisory and ensure its proper implementation.

Let us take this opportunity to honor and celebrate the dedication, commitment, and invaluable service of our teachers.

Ang pamilya ay may iba’t ibang anyo; maaaring binubuo ng mga taong kaanak natin, nag-aaruga sa atin, kasama natin sa buhay, o nagsisilbing ating sandigan. Anuman ang kasarian, edad, o papel ng bawat isa, lahat ay may lugar sa isang pamilyang may pagmamahal, paggalang, at pagtanggap.

GAD Award Logo and Plaque Design Contest 🏆

CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS
1. The contest is open to all bona fide BPSU employees and students. Bona fide means that the employees are currently employed regardless of employment status, and that students are officially enrolled in the current semester. Both will be verified by the HRMD and the REGI, respectively.
2. Interested participants will be required to complete the online Registration Form and submit their entries until 5:00PM of 30 September 2026. After accomplishing the Form, entries must be submitted by messaging the official page of the BPSU GFPS-CHRE and sending the link for the downloadable image in high resolution. No submitted Application Form means that the submitted entry will automatically be disqualified.
3. One entry means both the logo design and the plaque design are present. An entry that only has the logo design will automatically be disqualified. An entry that only has the plaque design will automatically be disqualified. An employee or student can only submit one (1) entry.
4. Entries, once submitted, cannot be withdrawn from the competition.
5. Automatic disqualification will be given to entries found to be in violation of intellectual property laws, or are found to be discriminatory, sexist, and obscene.
6. The cash prize shall be non-negotiable and non-transferable. Only one winner will get the cash prize of ₱40,000.
7. The decision of the Panel of Judges shall be final and executory. The following shall be the criteria for judging the entries in order to determine the winner via getting the score averages:
a. Concept’s Relevance to the purpose and nature of the award (how the design is able to communicate BPSU’s reputation and brand as a leader in GAD among SUCs and government agencies, and the University as a gender-transformative SUC), 35 points
b. Creative originality (to ensure that the design is not a mere replication of an already existing one in compliance with intellectual property laws), 25 points
c. Versatility (the design will not lose its quality if used in different sizes and formats such as in billboards, 3D objects, digital formats etc.), 20 points
d. Impact (the overall aesthetic of the design and its ability to evoke a timeless look and set it apart from other similar awards given by other agencies), 20 points
8. BPSU GFPS-CHRE shall retain ownership of the winning entry. The winning entry will be used as the official logo and plaque design of the BPSU GAD Award beginning 2027.

||𝐁𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘||

As the University joins the observance of the 34th National Family Week, and in consideration of the rising cost of fuel, the following work and class arrangements shall be observed across all BPSU campuses on Monday, September 28, 2026:

6:00 AM – 12:00 NN
-Morning classes shall shift to synchronous online classes.

8:00 AM – 12:00 NN
-All University offices shall shift to online transactions.

Meanwhile, work and classes across all University campuses shall be suspended beginning at 1:00 PM, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026, issued by the Office of the President, in observance of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day and the 34th National Family Week.

Offices and units providing basic and health services, disaster response, and other essential functions shall maintain operations.

At the heart of the observance is the University’s commitment to nurturing the bonds that bring Filipino families together, fostering harmony, care, and well-being in celebration of the 34th National Family Week.
