EXPANSION OF E-9 JOBS AS OF MAY 15, 2025

On May 15, the Korean government announced the following changes on EPS or E-9 visa:

- for the restaurant industry, serving jobs will now be allowed

- for the courier industry, foreign workers will now be allowed in loading/ unloading/ and sorting

- for the hotel industry, only hotels and condos in Seoul, Gangwon, Busan, and Jeju can hire foreign workers BUT local governments can apply to hire foreign workers for hotels/condos

- customized referrals for employer preference on nationality of workers
