Today, we honor Dr. Jose Rizal—our national hero, writer, and reformist whose bravery, intelligence, and love for the Philippines awakened nationalism during the Spanish colonial era. His works, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, continue to inspire Filipinos to seek truth, justice, and freedom.

May we continue to live by his values of patriotism, education, critical thinking, and service to others. As we remember his sacrifice, let us also strive to be responsible citizens and contribute to nation-building in our own ways.
