The Office of Institutional Student Programs and Services under BPSU-OSAS conducts an activity that would empower the students of BPSU belonging to marginalized sectors on September 15, 2023.

The Objectives of the Seminar:

β€’ To meet personally and interview those students belonging to marginalized sectors;
β€’ To enlighten them with their basic rights and protection;
β€’ To form a set of officers and create a support group.
β€’ To delegate official representation of students belonging to marginalized groups on matters where such representation is necessary.

Recommendations

The overall goal of an activity or seminar is to meet the objectives and to provide a pleasant experience for the attendees and everyone involved. Here are some of the recommendations after attending the seminar.

1. Form a set of officers belonging to marginalized groups representing university-wide.

2. Create a flyer stating the basic rights of the marginalized sectors to be distributed during vacant hours of students.

πŸ“’ Exciting Announcement! πŸ“’

Dear students and parents enrolled in Grade 11,

We are thrilled to inform you about an incredible opportunity offered by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO). There will be a Financial Assistant program designed exclusively for students like you!

πŸŽ‰ Financial Assistant for Grade 11 Students πŸŽ‰

As we understand the financial challenges that families may face, especially during these times, the PSWDO has taken the initiative to provide additional support. This program aims to alleviate the financial burden associated with Grade 11 education expenses by offering assistance to eligible students.

πŸ’° How does it work? πŸ’°

1️⃣ Eligibility:
The Financial Assistant program is available to all currently enrolled Grade 11 students within our province.

2️⃣ Requirements:
- 2 copies (Xerox) of valid ID
- 1 original and 1 Xerox copy of the Certificate of Indigency from your barangay. NOT Police Clearance
- 1 Certificate of Enrollment (Public School) and ID of the student
- Parent ID (if the parent will process it)
- 4P's members are NOT part of this program

3️⃣ Validation Date, Time, and Location:
* Pilar - July 19, 2023, 10AM at Pilar Covered Court
* Morong - July 20, 2023, 10AM at Morong Covered Court
* Bagac - July 21, 2023, 10AM at Parang Covered Court
* Balanga - July 24, 2023, 10AM at Tenejero Covered Court
* Orion - July 25, 2023, 10AM at Lati Covered Court
* Limay - July 31, 2023 - 10AM at Limay Gym

Validation for Hermosa, Abucay, and Dinalupihan has been completed.

4️⃣ Financial Support: Once selected, eligible students will receive financial assistance directly from the PSWDO to help cover Grade 11 education-related expenses. The exact amount and mode of support will be communicated individually to the selected applicants.

Thank you and God Bless us all!

ISPS Office completed the visitation on BPSU Abucay Campus regarding the status of their dormitories, canteens, etc. We are pleased to report that we found everything in the condition we expected to see and we hope to see further improvement of facilities in the near future.

Mam Herren Donna Miguel-Daag of SASO Abucay Campus and her office has been working tirelessly to ensure that all facilities meet the stringent guidelines set forth by the university. We are committed to providing students with the best possible environment in which to learn and grow.
