𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙠𝙖, 𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙣𝙞 𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙊𝘽𝙉𝙃𝙎–𝙅𝙃𝙎 𝙨𝙖 𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙈𝙏𝙊

Muling pinatunayan ng mga mag-aaral ng DepEd - City Of Balanga National High School - Junior High School ang kanilang husay sa larangan ng Matematika matapos magwagi ng Bronze Award ang dalawang koponan sa Southeast Asian Mathematics Team Olympiad (SEAMTO) – National Round na ginanap noong Nobyembre 22, 2025. Ang prestihiyosong kompetisyon ay inorganisa ng Global League of Winners Inc. (GLOW Inc.) at nilahukan ng mga piling mag-aaral mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa.

Ang unang koponan na nagkamit ng Bronze ay binubuo nina Mykaella Izhea M. Sunglao at John Carl O. Santos mula sa Grade 10 – Sanggumay, at Jhelo Maru V. Tallara mula sa Grade 10 – Waling-Waling. Samantala, ang ikalawang koponan na tumanggap din ng kaparehong parangal ay kinabibilangan nina Elijah Mai D. Manalili at Lloyd Christian M. Manalo mula sa Grade 10 – Everlasting, at Mark John G. Calma mula sa Grade 10 – Cattleya.

Ang dalawang koponan ay lumahok sa Secondary 4 category, isang antas ng kompetisyon na inilaan para sa mga mag-aaral ng Grade 10, kung saan sinubok ang kanilang kakayahan sa lohikal na pag-iisip, masusing pagsusuri, at mabisang pagtutulungan sa paglutas ng mga suliraning matematikal.

Sa patnubay ng kanilang coach na si Gng. Ann Lorraine L. Sotto, matagumpay na hinarap ng mga mag-aaral ang hamon ng pambansang kompetisyon. Bunga ng kanilang mataas na marka at natatanging pagganap, ang dalawang koponan na kumatawan sa paaralan ay napiling maging bahagi ng National Team na lalaban sa International Round ng SEAMTO na gaganapin sa Tagaytay City sa Marso 2026.

Pinapaabot din ng mga kalahok ang kanilang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa punong-guro ng paaralan, si Dr. Jennifer G. De Guzman, sa walang sawang suporta at paniniwala sa kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral, gayundin sa ulo ng Kagawaran ng Matematika, si Gng. Judy Ann D. Olmo-Ribano, sa patuloy na paggabay at pagpapaigting ng programang pang-akademiko ng paaralan.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay hindi lamang karangalan para sa mga nagwaging mag-aaral kundi isang malinaw na patunay ng patuloy na pag-angat ng COBNHS–JHS sa larangan ng akademya. Higit sa lahat, ito ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa buong komunidad ng paaralan na ang sipag, talino, at pagtutulungan ay nagbubukas ng pinto tungo sa pandaigdigang entablado.
