Reports from various offices highlighted achievements in their respective areas, while Dr. De Guzman provided guidance and direction toward more sustainable, long‑term solutions.

This African proverb rang true once again at the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥–𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, where school leaders recognize that students cannot be nurtured by teachers alone. As 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐘. 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨, OIC-Assistant Principal, emphasized in his message on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, parents are the first teachers and disciplinarians, shaping values at home long before children enter the classroom.

In line with this, the school leadership under 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐆. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧, School Principal IV, spearheaded the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬‑𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐏𝐓𝐀) 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔‑𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕, held in the Audio‑Visual Room through online voting. This process empowered parents to choose leaders they trust, with Homeroom PTA presidents casting votes for their peers to assume SPTA positions.

From the election, 𝟏𝟓 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 were chosen — ten parents and five teacher‑advisers. Ten will serve as the Board of Directors, while five will take on the major roles: president, vice‑president, secretary (a teacher), treasurer, and auditor.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 reiterated that when parents instill discipline and respect at home, schools encounter fewer behavioral issues. He warned against the culture of entitlement, which often arises when children lack proper guidance from their parents.

To cap the event, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧 asked parents if they were willing to help the school achieve its goals for their children. Their resounding and heartfelt “yes” affirmed the strength of partnership between home and school.

The online election was successfully carried out with the support of the school’s election commissioners: 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐂. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐉. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐧, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐉. 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐳, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐉𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐒. 𝐊𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐭, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐎𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐀. 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐚, alongside the OIC‑Department Heads and Master Teachers, who assisted in attendance and ensured maximum parent participation.

Truly, unity brings strength. The SPTA election stands as a testament to the shared responsibility of parents and teachers in raising children and shaping their future.

For the third consecutive 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞, the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥–𝐉𝐇𝐒 once again opened the week with its 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, a meaningful expression of respect for the Philippine heraldic code and love of country. Far from being a mere tradition, the ceremony has become a living practice of patriotism, with students trained to sing the national, regional, division, city, and school hymns wholeheartedly and with conviction.

After the hymns and recitations, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐀. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, SPFL (Korean) Teacher, spoke on the 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 and 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐬 of 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲 and 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, demonstrating hand signals to help students easily remember and live out these principles.

The ceremony was further enriched by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚 𝐕. 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨, the Education Program Supervisor in Values Education and Special Needs Education (SNED) who encouraged students to practice the “𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒐𝒘” while saying “𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚, 𝑴𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒂𝒐”, as mandated by 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐍𝐨. 𝟎𝟏𝟑, 𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒. This policy guides schools in adopting respectful gestures aligned with 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝟏𝟏𝟒𝟕𝟔, ensuring learners greet authorities, personnel, elders, and stakeholders with courtesy both inside and outside the school. The greeting involves placing the right palm over the left chest and bowing slightly, with the gesture reciprocated in acknowledgment.

To conclude, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐆. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧, School Principal IV, reminded students to dedicate their instructional block to focused learning, punctuality, and active participation in all classes.

As part of her usual practice, School Principal 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐆. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧 personally goes around the school premises to monitor both operations and academics, ensuring excellence in every aspect of the school.

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, she carried out in-place monitoring together with 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐏. 𝐃𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, OIC-Assistant Principal for Academics.

The two leaders visited vital areas of the campus including the faculty rooms, school clinic, care and career center, records office, human resource office, finance office, and classrooms to check that all offices and learning spaces were functioning smoothly and that the school remained in full operation.
