On August 21, we commemorate 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆, a special non-working holiday that honors the life, courage, and enduring legacy of 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 “𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆” 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿.

More than a day of remembrance, this occasion invites us to reflect on the values he stood for and the role of 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺, and 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 in shaping our nation.

Students from different programs of 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗖𝗡𝗨) and Japanese students from 𝗙𝘂𝗸𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 came together for an engaging exchange of conversations, ideas, and cultural experiences as part of the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

The activity was joined by 𝗚𝗼𝘃. 𝗔𝗹𝗷𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘆 and 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮, representatives of 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗼 and the 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀, and other organizations who showed their support for this meaningful initiative.

The 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, held on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, honors the outstanding accomplishments, dedication, and leadership of our tourism leaders and officers whose efforts have significantly contributed to the success of the organization.

This milestone would not have been possible without the strong leadership and unwavering support of our dearest Dean, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, whose unwavering belief in her students, genuine care, and inspiring leadership continue to light the path for every member of Abanse Turismo. 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄

The Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training was successfully conducted for BS Tourism Management students from Cebu Normal University – Balamban Campus, showcasing their dedication and commitment to service excellence. From Batch 1 to Batch 4, the enthusiasm and professionalism of the students were evident throughout the training.

A heartfelt congratulations to the 210 BS Tourism Management students from CNU Balamban Campus who officially completed the training. This achievement reflects their readiness to embody the “Mabuhay” spirit and represent Filipino hospitality with pride on the global stage.

Under the Department of Tourism’s Tourism Industry Skills Program (TISP), the training was conducted in two schedules: February 3–4 (Batch 1 & 2) and April 20–21 (Batch 3 & 4). The program aimed to equip students with essential skills, values, and professionalism aligned with global tourism standards.

Organized by ABANSE Turismo, the training was facilitated by FBSE Trainers Dr. Evelyn Lupango and Mr. Jose Rinan S. Calunia, with Ms. Marichu Libor from the DOT Region VII – TISP Office.

Special thanks to our Tourism Dean, Dr. Clareziel D. Ladringan, for her continuous support and leadership in developing future tourism professionals.
