The Rhythmica Culture and Arts Performing Group (RCAPG) successfully held its Annual Assembly on Friday, April 24. The session focused on the core foundations of our group, covering:
•Revision of Constitution and By-laws to ensure a stronger future.
•Accomplishment Report, celebrating our milestones and growth.
•Commitment and Appointment Forms for our newly elected officers.

A pivotal moment of the assembly was the election of the new Board of Officers for the 2026–2027 academic year. As our founding officers conclude their impactful two-year term, we prepare to welcome a new chapter of leadership. The meeting was presided over by RCAPG Artistic Director, Ms. Christine Mae Caminos, alongside the outgoing student leaders.

The dust has settled at the Balamban Sports Oval, but the beat of the drums is still echoing in our hearts! Last Sunday, February 1st, was an absolute whirlwind of faith, color, and pride as 𝗖𝗡𝗨- 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻 joined the grand celebration of 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻 2026.

This journey was a true labor of love, and it wouldn't have been possible without the people working tirelessly behind the scenes. A massive thank you to the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, led by the dedicated 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗮, for her vision and for bringing us all together. To our Pathfit Instructors, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻 —thank you for your grit, your guidance, and for believing in the students every step of the way.
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our partners at 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗔𝗔 , led by their Artistic Director, 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀. Your creative touch elevated our performance to something truly special!

The energy on the field was all thanks to the incredible talent of our student-choreographers: 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻̃𝗮 (BSED 2B), 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗜𝘃𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻̃𝗮 (STM 2), and 𝗡𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗮 (BSED 2A). They, along with our hardworking 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻, achieved the impossible by turning just two days of practice into a masterpiece. To our Selected 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗳𝗶𝘁 4 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 —you danced with so much heart and soul. You didn't just perform; you showed everyone what the Normalite spirit is all about!

Our success was also fueled by the overwhelming support from our 𝗖𝗡𝗨 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. We are deeply grateful to our very supportive faculty members who were there cheering us on last Sunday: 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗼, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗲. Your presence meant the world to the team! We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the supportive school administration, especially to our Campus Director, 𝗗𝗼𝗰. 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗣. 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗹 , for the constant encouragement and leadership.

Of course, the Oval lit up when our Festival Queen, 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶 (BSED 2B), took the stage. She was a vision of grace, wearing a stunning creation by Sir 𝗡𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗼, who also meticulously crafted the costumes worn by our dancers, with all attire provided by Sir 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀. Her look was completed with hair and makeup flawlessly done by 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻̃𝗮. The vibrant colors and designs truly made CNU-Balamban stand out!

More than the applause, we cherish the spirit of devotion we shared as a community. We offered our dance to the 𝗦𝗲𝗻̃𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗶𝗻̃𝗼, and we couldn't be prouder of how we represented our school.

The Interfaith Ministry, together with Pathfit Instructor, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦. 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻 and Adviser 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲 𝗕. 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗮, proudly presents the Sinulog Festival Presentation at Cebu Normal University - Balamban Campus dated January 23, 2026. Invited to lead this vibrant celebration is 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀, showcasing the artistry and devotion of Cebuano culture. With the guidance of choreographers 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀, 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗜𝘃𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻̃𝗮, and 𝗡𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗮, alongside dance masters 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻 and 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮, the performance promises to capture the rhythm, spirit, and faith that define Sinulog.

We sincerely thank the 𝗖𝗡𝗨-𝗕 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 for their support in making this celebration possible, and extend our appreciation to 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 (RCAA) for leading the Sinulog dance presentation with artistry and devotion. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻, uniting talent, tradition, and teamwork in one festive stage. Organized by the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, the program embodies not only the cultural heartbeat of Sinulog but also the collaborative spirit of the 𝗖𝗡𝗨- 𝗕 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. Witness the dance of faith, rhythm, and unity as we honor 𝗦𝗲𝗻̃𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗶𝗻̃𝗼 through movement and music.

A New Era Begins | CNU Welcomes 7th University President

Cebu Normal University is proud to announce the election of Dr. Laurence L. Garcia as the 7th University President.

Breaking records at just 37 years old, Dr. Garcia officially steps up as the youngest president in the 123-year history of Cebu Normal University. His four-year journey leading our institution begins this February 2, 2026.

The future of excellence starts now. All hail crimson and gold!

LOOK | CNU welcomes its new president

Cebu Normal University (CNU) welcomes its 7th University President, Dr. Laurence L. Garcia.

The CNU Board of Regents has officially elected Dr. Garcia to lead the 123-year-old institution, ushering in a new chapter of leadership and excellence.

Dr. Garcia will serve a fresh four-year term from February 2, 2026 to February 1, 2030.

At 37, Dr. Garcia, the former dean of the CNU College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, is the youngest president in the university's history.

All hail the crimson and gold brand of excellence!

As we end 2025, the CNU Balamban Rhythmica Culture and Arts Group came together for our 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, held at Cebu Normal University–Balamban Campus. We reflected on our journey, supported our officers and members affected by Bagyong Tino, and strengthened our bond as one family.

We sincerely thank our Organization Adviser, Mrs. Mary Grace Cosicol, for opening opportunities for us to showcase our talents, for her guidance and wisdom, and for her generosity in sharing her blessings. We also thank our officers, led by our Artistic Director, Christine Mae Caminos, and everyone who made this program possible. Please know that your efforts are truly seen and appreciated.
