Following the announcement made by the Presidential Communications Office based on the Memorandum Circular No. 131, upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). As a precautionary measurement due to heavy rain brought by the Southwest Monsoon, an Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) will be implemented through SYNCHRONOUS CLASS (ONLINE CLASS) tomorrow, August 20, 2026 (Thursday), from basic education to college.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

๐ Abra
๐ Benguet
๐ Ilocos Norte
๐ Ilocos Sur
๐ La Union
๐ Pangasinan
๐ Bataan
๐ Bulacan
๐ Nueva Ecija
๐ Pampanga
๐ Tarlac
๐ Zambales
๐ Batangas
๐ Cavite
๐ Laguna
๐ Rizal
๐ Occidental Mindoro
Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.
Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.
Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.
The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
