𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗦𝗚𝗖)
𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 proved its functionality and compliance in the D.O no, 26 s.2022.

The purpose of the School Governance Council is to provide parents, school staff, and community members with a leadership role in the management of the school.
We would like to appreciate the effort of our SGC Designated Chairperson Sir Richard B. Bernabe and SGC Secretary Ma’am Lorna C. Salvadico, and SGC team for this success.

Also, we would like to thanks Sir ROMAN M. CARREON, Principal IV, for the guidance and leadership making SGC functional.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir ARIEL D. GARCIA, EdD, Regional EPS – FTAD for your technical assistance.

Episode 2: Organizing the SGC: Composition and Structure
Welcome to the second episode of our SGC series.
In the previous video, we discussed the General Purpose of SGC; we also learned that it shall form part of the school structure as an embodiment of the shared governance principle. In this video, we will learn about SGC’s composition and structure and how we will organize and establish the council.

SGC at a Glance: Invite. Involve. Influence.
RA 9155 which decentralized the system of school management, rests on the recognition that education is a collective responsibility. Guided by the principle of shared governance, DepEd issued DO 26. s. 2022 or the Guidelines on the Establishment of School Governance Council (SGC). This policy sought to harness the collective efforts of schools and other stakeholders in the school-community, as key partners at the ground level, in the achievement of education goals.
To further strengthen the implementation of the SGC policy, BHROD-SED will be releasing a series of infographics and other advocacy materials dedicated to our schools and supportive stakeholders. These advocacy materials hope to help them understand the importance of shared governance through the establishment of SGCs.
Through functional SGCs, we empower our school stakeholders through decentralization by providing them the opportunity to invite, involve, and influence the larger school community to actively partake in building effective schools.
