Third Day of the Novena to St. Augustine

In Deum,

With grateful and prayerful hearts, we continue this third day of our Novena to our Holy Father, St. Augustine, as we journey closer to the celebration of his glorious feast.

Today, we reflect on St. Augustine’s deep life of prayer. In his search for truth and wisdom, he discovered that prayer was not simply a moment of speaking to God, but a way of opening his heart to God’s presence and guidance. Through prayer, his restless heart found direction, peace, and strength.

May St. Augustine teach us to make prayer an essential part of our daily lives. May we learn to listen to God with humble hearts, to trust Him in times of difficulty, and to seek His wisdom in every decision we make. May our prayers lead us not only to know God more deeply but also to love and serve Him through our lives.

As a community of faith, may this novena deepen our prayer life, strengthen our unity, and renew our commitment to live according to God’s truth and wisdom. May we always remember that a heart that sincerely seeks God will never be far from His loving presence.

CLEAN-UP DRIVE 2.0: TOGETHER, WE RISE!

The clean-up continues as our non-teaching and support personnel work hand in hand to clear the remains of the flood and restore the cleanliness and beauty of our school grounds.

Joining them is Sr. Veron, getting her hands and even her feet —dirty as she works alongside the team!

Truly, service means being willing to step in and lend a hand.

Every sweep, scrub, and muddy footprint is a step toward recovery. More than cleaning, this is teamwork, resilience, and service in action.

Second Day of the Novena to St. Augustine

In Deum,

With joyful and prayerful hearts, we continue this second day of our Novena to our Holy Father, St. Augustine, as we journey together in preparation for the celebration of his glorious feast.

Today, we reflect on St. Augustine’s lifelong search for truth and wisdom. His restless heart led him to seek answers to the deepest questions of life. Through his journey, struggles, and conversion, he discovered that true wisdom is found in God, the source of all truth and goodness.

May St. Augustine inspire us to seek the truth with open and humble hearts, to grow in wisdom, and to recognize God’s presence in our daily lives. May we have the courage to search deeply, the humility to learn, and the faith to allow God to guide us toward what is true and good.

As we continue these nine days of prayer, may our search for truth bring us closer to God and deepen our understanding of His love. May this novena strengthen our faith, renew our hearts, and inspire us to share the wisdom we receive through lives of love, compassion, and service.

First Day of the Novena to St. Augustine

In Deum,

We begin this first day with joyful hearts as we pray the Novena to our Holy Father, St. Augustine, in preparation for the celebration of his glorious feast.

May St. Augustine, whose heart remained restless until it found its rest in God, inspire us to seek the Lord with sincere and faithful hearts. May his life and example encourage us to grow deeper in faith, to pursue truth with humility, and to live with love, compassion, and a spirit of service.

May these nine days of prayer draw us ever closer to God and strengthen our unity as a community of faith. May this novena renew our hearts, deepen our trust in the Lord, and inspire us to live out our mission with courage, hope, and love.

We joyfully celebrate today the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a reminder of God's promise of eternal life and the reward of faithful discipleship.

United in Purpose, Stronger Together

In the face of adversity, the personnel and the entire school community proved that when everyone is united by one purpose,
no effort is wasted,
no time is lost,
and every act of service makes a difference.

With a shared mission to respond to the needs of both our school and our partner communities, the LCSB personnel strategically organized themselves into three dedicated teams, ensuring that every task was accomplished with urgency, efficiency, and compassion.

The first team lead the clean-up and rehabilitation of classrooms and school facilities affected by the flood, restoring a safe and welcoming environment for our learners.

The second team focused on sorting, packing, and preparing the donated relief goods, carefully ensuring that every family in our partner communities would receive assistance with dignity and care.

The third team worked tirelessly in the kitchen, preparing warm, nourishing meals for the families in our partner communities as well as for the volunteers and personnel who devoted their time and strength to this mission.

Although each team carried a different responsibility, they were united by one heart and one purpose—to serve with compassion, restore hope, and bring healing to those affected by the recent flooding.

This coordinated effort allowed the LCSB community to maximize its resources and accomplish multiple missions simultaneously: rebuilding our school, providing immediate relief to our partner communities, and caring for those who served.

This remarkable collaboration is a living testament to the Augustinian values of Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas. It reminds us that our greatest strength is not found in what one person can do, but in what a united community can achieve through faith, selfless service, and love.

Together, we served.
Together, we rebuilt.
Together, we became instruments of God's love and hope.

Another milestone, another achievement.
Small, perhaps—but genuine, meaningful, and worth celebrating.

Grateful for every little progress, every quiet victory, and every step forward.

After the floodwaters receded, the true strength of the LCSB community became even more evident.

With hearts united and hands ready to serve, the School Administration, religious sisters, faculty, staff, and personnel came together for a campus-wide clean-up drive, restoring our classrooms and learning spaces with dedication, teamwork, and hope.

Every sweep, every mop, and every helping hand reflected our shared commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our learners. This collective effort is a testament that challenges may leave their mark, but they can never diminish the spirit of a community united by faith and service.

Together, we rise.
Together, we rebuild.
Together, we move forward with courage and resilience.

Compassion in Action

In times of uncertainty, kindness becomes a beacon of hope.

Yesterday, August 12, 2026, LCSB community extended love and compassion through its relief operations in our partner communities, reaching families affected by the recent flooding.

Every relief pack distributed carried not only essential goods but also a powerful reminder that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collective generosity and unwavering support of our School Administration, dedicated personnel, the Mother Rita Barcelo Outreach Center (MRBOC), the generous donations of our learners, the Family Council Officers, parent-partners, and everyone who shared their time, resources, and hearts. Your selfless spirit of service truly reflects the Augustinian values of Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas.

As we continue to recover from these difficult times, may we never lose hope. Together, we remain stronger, more compassionate, and more united.
