🌞 Under the Heat of the Burning Sun: ANHS SSLG (Supreme Secondary Learner Government) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Clean Up Drive from Ay-ay, Ampusongan to Ampusongan Proper on November 22, 2024. This community initiative was part of the Project Taob, aimed at promoting cleanliness, prevent the spread of dengue, promotes environmental awareness and sustainability within the locality. 🦟

🧤 Participated by the SSLG and the Science/Yes-O Club. Equipped with gloves, trash bags, and enthusiasm, volunteers spread out across the designated areas, collecting waste and debris.🍀

📍Recently, United Nation's Day, IPED , Teacher's Day celebration and the Mental Health culminating activity took place on October 22, 2024 at Ampusongan National High School with the leadership of the SSLG officers.

ANHS marks it's first celebration of the United Nation. The celebration is with a theme, "Leaving no one behind: Acting Together for the Advancement of Peace Sustainable Development and Human Dignity for Present and Future Generations." Poster, Slogan and Search for Mr. And Ms. which was participated by G-7 to G-12 learners are one of the prior activities in line with the UN celebration.

Moreover, Juan S. Aglayen, Barangay Ampusongan's IPMR (Indigenous Peoples' Mandatory Representation)stated during his speech, " di pangilasinam si esa ay kankana-ey yan ammu da din kali ay INAYAN."
The program also highlighted the importance of National Indigenous People's Month, which is celebrated annually in the month of October.
With traditional games such as sack race, inubba-an (piggy back race) , sanggul (arm wrestling), community dance as it is the major parts of IPED celebration. The celebration aimed to showcase the rich heritage and cultural practices of these communities, fostering greater understanding and appreciation among learners and youths.✨

📍As Brigada Eskwela was disrupted recently by the weather, ANHS managed to carry on with the official start of the academic school year 2024-2025.

A short orientation program was organized and led by the faculty staffs and SSLG organization relating to the school rules.

ANHS are delighted with the presence and the unwavering support of Bakun MPS as they took part in the said activity.

Ensuring the health of the learners, they are greatly reminded with the basic personal care as dengue cases in Benguet arise. As they say "Prevention is better than Cure."

🍀 With that, school head Vicenta Danigos wishes them goodluck on their academic journey.
