EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE OBSERVED

Today, our school personnel and learners promptly and properly responded to the felt earthquake by strictly adhering to the school’s established earthquake safety protocols. Everyone calmly performed the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” procedure, followed organized evacuation routes to designated safe areas, and remained orderly during the headcount until the “all clear” signal was given. This disciplined response reflects our continuous commitment to preparedness and keeping our school community safe. Furthermore, the Bakun MPS assisted on the post-inspection of the school buildings for damages.

SCHOOL SAFETY SIMULATION

Our school successfully conducted a simulation of a stabbing incident this day with the coordination of the Bakun MPS personnels as part of our emergency preparedness program. Learners portrayed the roles of the victim while the PNP personnel portrayed as the suspect, having received proper briefing and preparation beforehand. This exercise helped us practice response protocols, strengthen coordination, and raise awareness among everyone—all carried out safely under the guidance of school personnel.

Ampusongan National High School joins the Simultaneous FRC based on RM No. 507, s2026 for the 10th Anniversary Commemoration of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award.

Marking a decade of victory through law, not force. The July 12, 2016 Arbitral Award affirmed that the Philippines can defend its maritime rights peacefully, through United Nation Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), evidence, and principled action. It protects coastal communities, livelihoods, and one of the world’s richest marine environments, reminding us that sovereignty is also about food security and future opportunities for every Filipino family. Ten years on, its message is clear: principles matter, lawful action matters, and a rules‑based order benefits all nations.

SHOOTING INCIDENT SIMULATION | Strengthening School Safety

Ampusongan National High School, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP)–Bakun and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU), successfully conducted a Shooting Incident Simulation to strengthen the school's emergency preparedness and response.

The activity engaged teachers, learners, and stakeholders in promoting awareness, vigilance, and the proper response during critical incidents, reinforcing the school's commitment to providing a safe, secure, and resilient learning environment.
