DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara visits Bais City National High School

DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara paid a visit to Bais City National High School to check on campus facilities and hear directly from teachers and students.

Skipping formal ceremonies, Angara toured classrooms, laboratories, and grounds at Bais City National High School the city’s largest public high school. He met with faculty members to discuss day-to-day challenges, including heavy administrative workloads and classroom resource gaps.

ARD- NIR Anthony Leobet, USEC. Peter Corvera, Governor Chaco Sagarbarria, Mayor Luigi Marcel T. Goni, Councilor Rina Goñi, Dr. Bernadette Susvilla,
and other local education officials joined the walkthrough, highlighting key campus needs for facility upgrades and expanded digital tools.

Angara reassured the school community that DepEd remains focused on delivering direct, practical support to regional public schools.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Following a prompt investigation with local law enforcement, BCNHS confirms that recent rumors regarding a weapon on campus are FALSE. Authorities found no gun or toy gun in the student's possession.

Our school remains safe and secure. Thank you to our local police for their swift action, and to our BCNHS community for keeping our campus safe and informed.

148 teachers of BCNHS get free Lapel Mics

A total of 148 teachers at Bais City National High School received brand-new lapel microphones to help them speak clearly during class without straining their voices.

This distribution is part of a new initiative led by Education Secretary Sonny Angara, aimed at giving public school teachers better tools for the classroom. With these lightweight, hands-free mics, teachers can now project their voices effortlesslyeven in crowded or noisy rooms making lessons much easier for students to hear and follow.

BCNHS Teachers expressed their gratitude for the upgrade, noting that it's a simple tool that makes a huge difference in their daily teaching.

SYMPOSIUM 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜-𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗡 𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗔 𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗢 (𝗞𝗞𝗗𝗔𝗧

To empower the youth as partners in peace and progress, the PNP Bais City Police Station led by OIC PLTCOL JUL MOHAMMAD L JAMIRI brought the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KK2DAT) Symposium to Bais City National High School. The symposium focused on raising awareness against illegal drugs, terrorism, and crime while encouraging students to lead positive change in their community.

Through informative discussions and meaningful engagement, the participants were encouraged to become responsible, law-abiding, and proactive partners in nation-building.

Pagdisinfect sa mga tunghaan sa Bais City National High School, gipadayon taliwala sa suspension sa klase tundong sa sore eyes

Gimandoan ang tanang mga tunghaan sa dakbayan sa Bais nga mopahigayon og halapad nga paglimpyo, sanitation, ug disinfection sa ilang mga pasilidad karong adlawa, Biyernes, Agosto 7, 2026.

Kini subay sa Division Memorandum No. 383, s. 2026 nga gipagawas ni Bernadette A. Susvilla, EdD, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent sa DepEd Bais City, agi'g pagpatuman usab sa Executive Order No. 50, s. 2026 nga gipagawas sa Kagamhanang Panlalawigan sa Negros Oriental.
Pinaagi sa maong direktiba, gipausyos (suspended) ang face-to-face classes sa tanang pampubliko ug pampribadong tunghaan sa Bais City isip preventive measure batok sa pagtakod-takod sa sore eyes (conjunctivitis).

Samtang gipausyos ang klase, makita ang hugot nga pagpadayon sa disinfection sa sulod ug gawas sa mga tulunghaan.

Aron dili mabalda ang pagtuon sa mga kabataan, giyahan gihapon sila sa paggamit sa DepEd NIR Weekly Learning Matrix (WeeLMat) samtang nagpadayon ang suspension.

Gipahinumdoman usab sa DepEd Bais City ang tanan nga dali ra matakod ang sore eyes pinaagi sa direktang paghikap o pakig-uban, hinungdan nga giawhag ang mga naa’y simtomas nga mopahuway una ug magpa-doktor aron malikayan ang pagpakatag niini.

To foster a safe, respectful, and harmonious learning environment, Bais City National High School learners have launched a campus-wide placard-making initiative. Guided by School Principal Dr. Octavio Cabio Jr. and ESP Department Head Jesalyn M. Martos, MT I, the project brings to life the visual messages of two major advocacy programs: the DepEd Negros Island Region's PEACE campaign (Powering Empathy Acceptance and Connection Everyday) and the Division-initiated Project LOVE (Living Our Values Everyday).
