Mery Joy S. Manila, our outgoing SSLG President, recently took part in the 2-Day Division Youth Leadership Training, a program designed to strengthen the values of service, responsibility, and environmental stewardship among young leaders.

The first day was filled with insightful sessions that focused on leadership skills, teamwork, and youth empowerment. Mery Joy actively engaged in discussions, demonstrating her commitment to continuous growth and her passion for guiding fellow student leaders. The second day highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility. Mery Joy joined fellow youth leaders in a coastal clean-up and mangrove planting activityโ€”showing that true leadership extends beyond the classroom and into caring for the community and environment.

Her participation reflects the essence of student leadership: learning, serving, and leaving a legacy of responsibility and care. As she steps down few months from now from her role, Mery Joy leaves behind not only memories of dedicated service but also an inspiring example for future SSLG leaders to follow.

We celebrated Valentineโ€™s Day earlier with smiles, laughter, and moments that reminded us how beautiful love truly isโ€”whether itโ€™s for friends, classmates, teachers, or ourselves. It was a day filled with warmth, appreciation, and little reminders that love comes in many forms.

The spirit of student democracy was alive and vibrant as the Lavarn Party and Lakas Party successfully conducted their Miting de Avance! This important event gave both parties the opportunity to present their platforms, advocacies, and vision for the student body.

Throughout the program, candidates passionately shared their plans to promote student welfare, strengthen unity, and uphold the values of humility, service, and leadership. Each speech reflected their dedication to creating a school environment where every studentโ€™s voice is heard and respected.

The event was not only about presenting platformsโ€”it was also about inspiring fellow students to actively participate in the upcoming elections. By engaging with their peers, both parties demonstrated that leadership is not about titles, but about service and responsibility.
