Rainy days, cold weather, a scratchy throat, a runny nose… and somehow, class is still on the schedule. 😭☕💻

We know how dedicated teachers can be. But here's your reminder:

You don't have to feel 100% to be a good teacher—and you don't have to push yourself beyond your limits either. 💙

If you're teaching while feeling under the weather, here are a few little things that might help:

🛏️Prepare your teaching space.
Keep water, tissues, medicine, and your lesson materials within reach so you don't have to keep getting up.

☕ Stay hydrated.
Warm water, tea, or soup can help you stay comfortable while you get through your classes.

🎧 Use a softer voice.
You don't have to force your energy. Speak comfortably and let your students meet you at your pace.

🎮 Choose low-energy activities.
Flashcards, simple games, conversation practice, and interactive materials can keep students engaged without requiring you to overexert yourself.

🧼 Practice good hygiene.
Keep your hands clean and your teaching area sanitized, especially during cold and rainy season.

😴 REST before and after classes.
Your body needs recovery too. Don't feel guilty for taking the rest you need.

🍲 Eat something nourishing.
Teaching takes energy—even when you're sick. Give your body something to work with.

💙 And be kind to yourself.
Some days you'll be energetic. Some days you'll simply show up and do your best.

Both count.

But most importantly, if you're too sick to teach safely or effectively, please prioritize your health and follow your company's proper sick-leave or absence procedures. Your well-being matters too. 🫶
