The University of Baguio High School (UBHS) officially welcomed the new academic year by conducting its Parents' Orientation on July 1, 2026, at the UB Gym, bringing together parents, school administrators, faculty members, and staff in a shared commitment to student success.

During the orientation, parents were introduced to important updates on the UBHS curriculum, grading system, school policies, and student services—essential information that empowers families to actively support their children's learning journey. The program concluded with homeroom meetings, where parents had the opportunity to connect with their children's advisers, discuss classroom expectations, and strengthen the partnership between home and school.

To ensure that every learner begins the school year informed and prepared, UBHS also conducted an online Student Orientation on July 3, 2026. Students received the same important updates on the curriculum, grading system, school policies, and student services, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities as members of the UBHS community.

These orientation programs reflect UBHS's unwavering commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and learner-centered environment where parents, students, and educators work hand in hand toward a common goal—academic excellence, holistic development, and lifelong learning.

In accordance with Proclamation No. 1334, endorsed and issued by the President of the Philippines, July 15, 2026, has been declared a special (nonworking) holiday in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

In line with this, there will be no classes and office work at the University of Baguio, encouraging the institution’s administrative and educational community to participate in the 39th celebration and founding anniversary activities and festivities of the region. 🇵🇭 🌻

𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁: 𝗨𝗕𝗛𝗦 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸

The University of Baguio High School (UBHS) warmly welcomed learners from Grades 7 to 12 as it officially commenced the Instructional Block at the Legacy Building, marking a meaningful and inspiring start to the new academic year.

In line with the university’s blended learning modality, the two-day instructional block was conducted alternately. Grade 7, Grade 9, and Grade 11 students attended face-to-face classes on Day 1, while Grade 8, Grade 10, and Grade 12 students participated online. On Day 2, the groups switched modalities, allowing all learners to experience both in-person and online sessions.

From the moment students arrived, they were warmly welcomed by the Grade Level Coordinators, class advisers, faculty members, and school personnel, who guided them to their classrooms and helped them settle into their new learning environment.

Early-arriving students were also treated to a simple welcome snack of juice and biscuits—a thoughtful gesture that made them feel at home in what UBHS proudly calls their second home.

During this beginning of the instructional block, students activated their University of Baguio accounts, providing them with access to the university's digital learning platforms and academic resources. They also participated in subject orientations, where teachers introduced course expectations, classroom policies, learning outcomes, and assessment guidelines.

More importantly, each orientation highlighted the alignment of every subject with the University's Vision, Mission, and Objectives (VMO), reinforcing UBHS's commitment to holistic, values-driven, and future-ready education.

The opening also gave students the opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet new classmates and teachers, and begin the school year with confidence and enthusiasm. As classrooms once again buzzed with energy and excitement, the Legacy Building came alive with the vibrant spirit of a community eager to learn, grow, and thrive together.

The successful start of the instructional block reflected the collaborative efforts of the UBHS administrators, grade level coordinators, class advisers, faculty members, and support personnel in ensuring a smooth, organized, and meaningful start to the school year.
