As we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, we rejoice that He is lifted up into heaven, not to leave us, but to go before us. May His Ascension strengthen our hope, renew our faith, and remind us of our mission to witness His love to the ends of the earth.
" He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

MANAOAG CENTENNIAL CANONICAL CORONATION ANNIVERSARY
Today, we joyfully celebrate the 100th Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary of Manaoag, a moment of deep faith, history, and devotion for the Filipino people.
The devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag dates back to the early 17th century, when her image was believed to have miraculously appeared to a farmer, calling him to build a shrine in her honor. Since then, countless devotees have flocked to Manaoag, Pangasinan, seeking her intercession, guidance, and protection. Through the years, Our Lady of Manaoag has been known as a powerful patroness, especially in times of need and uncertainty.
A Canonical Coronation is a solemn act authorized by Pope Pius XI, recognizing the profound devotion of the faithful to a particular Marian image. It is not merely a ceremonial crowning, but a declaration that the image holds significant spiritual importance and has been an instrument of grace and miracles. The crowning of Our Lady of Manaoag a century ago affirmed her enduring role in the lives of the faithful, and today’s centennial celebration renews that commitment of love and trust in her maternal care.
As we commemorate this historic milestone, we are reminded of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s constant call to prayer, humility, and faith in her Son, Jesus Christ.
O Most Holy Rosary of Manaoag, loving Mother and refuge of the faithful, we come before you with humble hearts. Guide us in times of doubt, strengthen us in moments of weakness, and lead us always closer to your Son. May we, like you, say “yes” to God’s will and live lives filled with faith, hope, and love. Amen.
On behalf of the University of Baguio Campus Ministry of Altar Servers, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag on this momentous 100th Canonical Coronation. May this celebration continue to inspire deeper devotion and unwavering faith among all the faithful.
Viva La Virgen! Viva Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario de Manaoag!

Today we remember +Pope Francis a shepherd of humility, compassion, and courage. His voice for the poor, his call for peace, and his reminder to care for our common home continue to guide us.
His passing was not only the close of a pontificate, but a farewell to a pastor who chose to walk side by side with his people especially the poor, the overlooked, and the hurting. From the moment he appeared on the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica and humbly asked for prayers, until his final days marked by quiet strength and steadfast faith, he consistently chose mercy over grandeur and closeness over authority.
He was never distant, but felt like a lolo to many a father who listened, a shepherd who embraced, and a servant who reminded the Church of its deepest calling: to love without condition.
Even in mourning, the Church held on to hope. His passing during the Easter Octave speaks of a faith that death is not the end. In his final witness, he seemed to remind us once more: that in Christ, every cross carries the promise of resurrection.
On April 21, 2025, the Church mourned but heaven surely rejoiced. 🕊️
May his legacy live on in every act of kindness and faith. Lolo Kiko please pray for us.

On this solemn Holy Saturday, we dwell in the quiet space between sacrifice and victory. It is a day of stillness, reflection, and patient longing as we wait at the tomb.
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
- Psalm 130:5
In the silence of this day, may we find peace in the promise of what is to come. Let us use this time to prepare our hearts, trusting that even in the darkest hours, God’s plan is unfolding. We wait in hope for the dawn of the Resurrection.
