It was just a vision that came to its reality, a desire that came to its fulfillment. The vision was implanted in the hearts of Pastor Lyte Chapap and his wife, Ma’am Joy, who pioneered the school. The school was under the Sunday School ministry of the church (Missionary Church of the Living Christ). It was organized with the purpose of reaching out young children and their families to know the Lo
rd Jesus Christ, and providing the students with the basic knowledge of God’s Word and a solid academic foundation. It was then called Missionary Church of the Living Christ Pre-school Incorporation. Mrs. Joy Chapap was the first teacher, assisted by Ms. Imelda Aplat, with Pastor Lyte Chapap as the administrator. In its first year of operation, the Lord entrusted twenty five (25) students, who are now college graduates and pursuing their own careers. In the 2nd year of the school’s operation, Ms. Imelda Aplat continued her studies in education, Ms. Criselda Aplat, her elder sister, took her place. The Lord continued to bless the school with more students that year and classes were held in both the morning and in the afternoon. Year 1994, after two (2) years of leading the church and the school, Pastor Lyte and his family went to Bontoc, Mountain Province. At that time, the Lord mightily used the deacons (elders) of the church to take charge of its different ministries. The kindergarten ministry was then spearheaded by Bro. Roy Sanoy until 1998. The training of the school was of good quality and was visibly seen by the community. More parents enrolled their children, and the school had thirty seven (37) students that year. Year 1995, Mrs. Janet Lorena became the school’s cashier and registrar after a year of volunteering for the school ministry. In 1996, Ms. Sharon Cosil helped in the school ministry for one year as cashier. Additional worker was added in the year of 1997 in the person of Ms. Christina Mondiguing, who served as an assistant teacher and then became full –time Kindergarten I class teacher. After a year, Mrs. Feberly Lorena also volunteered to work as a cashier for one year. After years of waiting for a full –time worker, the Lord answered the prayer of the church in the person of Pastor Glenn Plastina who served the church from 1998-1999. Home Bible studies, evangelism and visitation to kindergarten parents were given concern. On March 2000, Pastor Genesis Lorena who also served as an intern pastor in 1999, gladly accepted the church call to be its full-time pastor. He served for two (2) years until he left to pursue his studies. In June 27, 2000 the school was registered to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with the name Missionary Church of the Living Christ Christian School (MCLCCS). The Board of Directors was organized with its members: Bro. William Dicman, Bro. Dicksen Dicman, Bro. Jones Lorena, Sis. Feberly Lorena, Sis. Melecia Chalmas, and Sis. Marie Dulatre. The Lord enabled the school to add another class – Nursery, with seven (7) students. In 2002, the Lord graciously provided a full-time pastor to the church in the person of Pastor Abraham Bigornia and formally answered the church call on August 3, 2003. He then became the school administrator up to the present. The school reached its highest number of enrollment with a total of sixty (60) students. Another teacher was added in 2006. Venia Dingsa, took charge of the Nursery class for one (1) year. In the following year, Mrs. Theody Dicman of Bontoc, Mountain Province, assisted Ms. Crisalda Aplat in teaching the Nursery for six (6) months. Marribelle Dulatre permanently taught the Nursery class then. In the year 2008, Ms. Melecia Chalmas, a retired public school elementary teacher, gladly accepted the responsibility of being the teacher – in – charge of the school. In 2010, Ms. Gilmelyn Edic, an alumnae of MCLCCS, became the Nursery Class teacher while Mrs. Feberly Lorena acted as the School Consultant. During the school year 2011-2012, Mrs. Daisy Immabat started serving the Lord through teaching the Nursery class. Ms. Girlie Balagot and Ms. Kezia Lynne Pulquiso was added to the teaching force of the Pre-school during the school year 2012-2013, while Mrs. Joy Chapap served as volunteer OIC-Principal. The Lord has answered our earnest prayers for 23 years for a lot where a temporary chapel was now built and transferred to last December 2012. We continually pray for the completion of the church and school building where we can permanently relocate. We believe in faith that God has something good stored for us. We’re just waiting for His perfect time to come. Truly the Lord has been faithful in blessing and sustaining this ministry over the years and the years to come. To Him be glory and honor forever and ever. Amen!
