Ray Education Directions Consultancy Services sparked its first ray of powerful global educational light in the Philippine soil particularly in the Cordilleras, Baguio City. John’s Institute, and Ms Jennylyn de los Santos in Aug 2011 to explore the market of soaring international program of earning Europea
n and American degree in Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and other Asian countries. Being the marketing head of Rayedu Shanghai, Ms. Jennylyn de los Santos was tasked to go and open the market in Korea. However, somewhere along the way, plans have gone wrong. She felt betrayed and frustrated but she did not let these feelings deter her in mission of helping people to achieve their goal of becoming internationally certified. She believes in the programmes that she herself designed. She did not like that these great educational programmes will just be wasted away and that the delinquent act of one person will bring disadvantages to deserving people. Instead, she had a serious talk with Mr James Hu and after series of deliberations and serious talks, Ms Jen decided to come home and market the program in her own native land. With the full support and trust of Rayedu, Ms Jen established her own company, The New Directions IDP Consultancy Services. At its commencement, she presented and marketed the educational programmes amongst her closest friends. She accommodated different marketing strategies like holding series of meetings, organizing house parties, conducting school brigades among others. In barely three months, five students showed interest and enrolled themselves in the programme. With these fruitful and positive results, Ms Jen gladly went back in Shanghai towards the end of March and presented in a platter the fruit of her three month endeavour to James Hu. Not even in her wildest dream did she think, that she would be offered partnership by James Hu because of the five lives that entrusted their lives to her hands. The merging of these two companies, RAYEDU and New Directions, birthed Ray Education Directions Philippines. James Hu of Rayedu and Ms. Jen de los Santos of New Directions signed the partnership of global education in the Philippine embassy in China. At the middle of April 2012, Ms Jen with the full support of Ray Shanghai to RAY Directions Philippines and energized with the full trust of people around her and with the blessings of our Almighty Creator, she organized RAY Philippines. On June 16, 2012, RAY Directions Philippines was formally launched and inaugurated in Baguio Country Club. People from all walks of life graced the event starting from our international partners from Shanghai, Jiao tong University, UK, Thailand, the university heads, school administrators, entrepreneurs, teachers, parents, and down to students. James Hu, CEO of Ray China, is the guest of honor on that day, together with him are Rose Xu of Thisismandarin, Paul Winterbottom of UK, and Johnny Xiang. Straight from Shanghai, China these great people came to be part of this momentous event of Ray Philippines. Ray Philippines is committed to excellence as it continues to serve the country in promoting and providing an avenue of international education. Plans and measures are being taken cared of for the launching of Ray in the whole country. The foundation lives by its theme, “Enter to grow in knowledge; depart to better serve the country and the kind.” More importantly, RAY people care. We do whatever it takes. Indeed, it’s a humbling experience to play a role no matter how big or small it is in the transformation of lives. This September, the team is looking forward to sending five more scholars to join the pioneer scholars.
