The College of Business Administration (CBA) proudly shares a meaningful milestone as it was invited to serve as resource speakers at Philippine College of Science and Technology on April 8, 2026, held in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, Dean of CBA, together with Ms. Marga L. Taganas, CPA, MBA, BSBA Program Coordinator, delivered an insightful session on โIntegrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and AI Technologies in Capstone Project Implementation.โ Drawing from their recent Capstone Training, the speakers emphasized how academic projects can transcend classroom requirements and become tools for addressing real-world challenges.
The session was attended by Information Technology students from the College of Computer Studies (CCS) of Philippine College of Science and Technology (PhilCST), as part of their preparation for their Capstone subject. Students were guided on how to align their project ideas with relevant Sustainable Development Goals while leveraging AI technologies to develop innovative, data-driven solutions.
Highlighting the importance of relevance and impact, the speakers encouraged students to design capstone projects that respond to societal needs, integrating technology with sustainability principles. The workshop concluded with students presenting their initial capstone project ideas using NotebookLM, showcasing creativity, critical thinking, and practical application of the concepts learned.
This engagement not only strengthened academic collaboration but also paved the way for future initiatives. Accepting this invitation opens promising opportunities for a Faculty Exchange Program between BCU-CBA and PhilCST-CCS, fostering knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous alignment with global development goals.
